I'll let you decide if this is the correct way to change gear to achieve best acceleration.

Is there any need for the exaggerated gear shifts? The gate distance is still the same (IMG:http://forums.nissansportz.com/style_emoticons/nissansportz/ohmy.gif) |

Typical septic
slaps on a turbo to go quick in a straight line for a few hundred yards and changes gear like he's on a tractor (IMG:http://forums.nissansportz.com/style_emoticons/nissansportz/doh.gif) (IMG:http://forums.nissansportz.com/style_emoticons/nissansportz/nono.gif) |

...not as violently as that. You can shift quickly without ramming it in, bet his clutch loves him too (IMG:http://forums.nissansportz.com/style_emoticons/nissansportz/wacko.gif) |

I think the expression is "mechanical sympathy". (IMG:http://forums.nissansportz.com/style_emoticons/nissansportz/smile.gif) Oh, and Mark, did he bother using the clutch? (IMG:http://forums.nissansportz.com/style_emoticons/nissansportz/question.gif) (IMG:http://forums.nissansportz.com/style_emoticons/nissansportz/nono.gif) I still haven't heard back from the RSPCZ. Alberto is a monster. (IMG:http://forums.nissansportz.com/style_emoticons/nissansportz/ninja.gif) Has the "don't lift to shift" mentality. Runs some pretty impressive times though. As Mark says he doesn't need to be shifting as hard as he does! |

What a Tw%T! (IMG:http://forums.nissansportz.com/style_emoticons/nissansportz/wacko.gif) (IMG:http://forums.nissansportz.com/style_emoticons/nissansportz/nono.gif) (IMG:http://forums.nissansportz.com/style_emoticons/nissansportz/question.gif)
The geaqrbox is not from a dodge viper which actually comes from a truck & its not an American pick up truck either!! He screws up his 1st attempt, car lurching to the right & not finding 2nd. Then gets it right 2nd time though lost time wheelspinning. Ok he gave it a bit of welly from 2nd into 3rd which you could say was a longer throw & not straight hence the force. But what is the point of slamming it even harder from 3rd to 4th which is a simple, quick, straight gearchange requiring almost no effort, the gearstick almost falls straight into 4th by itself!
