Hi,
Has anyone used Wessex Garages in Bristol, as I am thinking of getting my 350z through them?
I would love to hear of any experiences of using them. Buying, servicing, selling through, p/xing, etc I would love to hear them all.
Thanks
John

I bought mine from them in April 04, the sales experience was ok except that I had trouble selling my Lexus IS 300 as they wouldn't take it in px because they said it would be difficult to sell on.
In the end My new Z had arrived I had to find a lexus dealer who would underwrite the sale unseen as I couldn't sell it privately - consequently I took a big hit on it.
Their quotes for servicing were a bit high until I got competitive quotes - then they came down.
Eventually I stopped using them after they managed to damage my brake calipers & wheels after a service & I had a battle to get them to put it right & they were not particularly helpful when it came to warranty claims.
That said, I don't think they are any better or worse than other dealers I have used - you just have to make sure you push for the service you are entitled to.

Hi,
I got my roadster from them in March 05 - sales experience was so-so at best - nobody knew anything apart from the 'Z specialist' who was absent much of the time. Servicing has been OK - although courtesy cars are handed over running on fumes despite the £10 charge. I'd try the dealer in Weston-super-mare if convenient.
cheers

I bought from Marshals in Cambridge in the end, vastly better experience.
Not sure where I will get it serviced yet though

Welcome to the OC
I refused to pay the £10 charge for a courtesy car & they waved it.
I get all my servicing done at Howards Weston-super-mare now; even though they have messed-up a couple of times they hold their hands up to it & try to put things right (even though it shouldn't have happened in the first place); their servicing costs are reasonable too.
I recently went into Wessex Bristol & asked the guy on the showroom reception desk if they had a MY07 350Z I could look at - his reply was unbelievable.... ''whats one of those'' he said.
I replied '' its a 2 seater sports coupe'', he replied ''I don't know much about cars''.
What the hell is he doing working in a car dealership I told him not to worry about it & as I started to walk out a salesman said ''we've got a 56 plate demonstrator you can look at & its identical to the MY07 except for the bonnet bulge''.... Numpties.
Needless to say I won't be going back there; if I do go for a MY07 Marshalls of Cambridge will be getting a call, unless Howards can offer a similar deal.

Plus you get the nice drive home too. I am certainly looking forward to my trip back in the next couple of days.
