They are the whizzy whizzy ones as I call them ... officially the 250/350/500 Hydroplanes ... they will probably be racing that weekend but the Worlds are for the class that go slightly slower but still as amazing to watch ... Colin used to race one thus our affection for the sport.
Adey - we'll be staying over Saturday and Sunday so 8pm is not a problem ... you'll just find us all in the bar

a very boozy lot are powerboaters ... it still never stopped anyone racing though ... I've had a look and there are 25 competitors for the worlds so it will be an amazing sight ... when Colin competed in his first Europeans at Oulton Broad I think I recall there were 27 boats ... the first turn buoy for the first heat is always carnage and it can be literally that ... very scary but an amazing sight.
