I have spoken to one of the organisers (Mark) of the event and he gave me some details over the phone. I will get more by e-mail/post later and will post when I know more.
Mark's team competed in the National D1 event and came a espectable 5th last year. This year, they are entering a Skyline and a 180SX and hope to do better
The event is on the 5th February (Sunday)
Starts at the Halfway house pub on the road to Tramore from Waterford, meeting there at about 11:30AM.
There are large car parking facilities here and they serve food/drink etc
The plan is to depart the pub at about 12:pm and head to Tramore for a bit of a parade along the waterfront.
Then, out of Tramore and head to Dungarvin. The route then turns off and takes the Clonmel road.
There is a small track and the organisers hope to have this track booked for a couple of hours, where the D1 drift cars that will be there will put on a bit of a display.
Once this is over, the route will then take us to Clonmel, through Carrick-on-suir and back to Waterford, from there on to the Halfway house again, where "refreshments" will be had. There will then be a bit of an award ceremony at the pub before closing.
This is a brief synopsis taken over the phone and I will post more detail when I get it.
So who can make it over for this event?
(It is a fundraiser for charity and sponsorship cards will be expected to be completed)

Bazz - It would be good if you could make it down mate, as it looks like it will be only me otherwise
Unfortunately, it is by invitation only - We have received an invitation from the organisers, but I must reply with numbers.
I've had a wisdom tooth out mate - you get local anaesthetic and they cut the gum to ease it out, then a stitch to heal it - a day later it was only a faint throb - although it all depends on the tooth
You should be ok - your mates are probably winding you up
Charity cruise
I will post more info when I get it !
Giles - any chance of getting the members pack, so that the logo of the club is on display?
Also any promo details for the club would be greatly appreciated
This is the entry form for those that want to go - remember, it's for charity people.

I will now not be able to make this event, due to circumstances out of my control.
Anyone who wants to take part, must fill in the form and pay the 50Euro fee (for charity)
You can not just turn up, the event is by invitation only. I received an invitation, but the form must be filled out and sent before the event.
OK peeps ??

AFAIK, this is the first time they have tried something like this, although similair events for bikes have been running for years.
If this event goes well, they intend to run it every year in the future
