This is a copy of a post I made in the general forum, but I thought it would be nice for the LHC area to have a copy of it here, for easy access -

ST. ALBANS, WATFORD, HEMEL area

Having the correct wheel alignment setup is absolutely crucial to the enjoyment of driving the 350Z - as I have discovered recently!

I've just been through a 'mini saga' to get my wheels aligned properly (at 3 different centres) and I thought that people in the South East Herts area might be able to benefit from my experience, so here goes...

To cut a long story short, the only person in the St. Albans, Watford, Hemel area I have found* that I trust to know what he is doing turns out to be Tony, who is based at Stapleton's Tyres, Watford (opposite Glyn Hopkins, Nissan main dealer).

He really knows his stuff, he is quite happy to talk to interested bozos like me and he runs his own website on the subject of wheel alignment - http://homepage.ntlw...bones/index.htm - This site is a very good read for any novice who is planning to get their wheels aligned.

Stapleton's are not cheap (I paid about £71 for 4-wheel alignment and adjustment), but I have driven away from the place with a car that actually feels right - It goes where I point it, with no arguments - just like it used to, before other un-named people messed about with it!

Tony offers a free check after 2,000 miles and he's totally committed to doing a professional and successful job.

*there may be other trustworthy wheel aligners in my area, but after extensive searching I haven't found them. If you can recommend someone, please add them on this thread.

Not a million miles from there is ????? I can't remember the name but I think I used to be called Elite. It's on the A10 heading in to London aout 2 miles from the M25, they did mine.

They did a free check after I fitted my suspension and there was nothing to adjust. He knew about the amendments to the original factors specs and seemed quite knowledgeable.
