Yeah I'd probably be on for this alright, see what kind of prices they give us cos €500 plus accomodation fairly soon after christmas may be a bit tight!! That and a second car and a baby on the way!! :hello:

We can leave it to late Feb/early March and perhaps even do a weekday( Friday and stay over?) to get a preferential group rate.

I'd like to have the freedom to push a Zed and explore its handling on the limit - it may prove money well spent.

yeah that might be a better option alright!!

It's be nice to be able to know the limit and how to handle it rather than try testing it out on our own cars!!

I can't really see the point in them spending huge money on buying two new Zed's and driving the ring out of them on a track drifting... Makes business sense to buy older Zed's, as let's face it, there won't be a huge difference between an 03-05 Zed or an 06 or 07 Zed on a track drifting.

I did say it wasn't important but I'll explain my post anyway.

On the front page of their site they say "Our two new top spec Nissan 350Z's". In fact they're not new and not top spec as there's only one spec in Ireland unless they bought them in N.Ireland where there's two specs. Oddly, in the photo the z seems to have LED rear lights but has a pre 06 front bumper minus the plastic splitter thing.

It is of course perfect business sense to buy old z's for a little as possible. I would even go so far as to say they could buy crashed repairable cars and drive the s*** out of them. If they spent €120k on two new cars for their new business they'd deserve to be shot.

Again, as I initially said, not important. Merely an observation.

Cars probably are crashed, a mix and match of new and old, hence LED rear lights and '04 front bumper :disguise:

Can't we buy GT and non GT spec in Ireland ??

And let's face it, if they are spending money on advertising they may aswell tart it up the best they can... 99% of the people who will drift the 350z's wont have a clue between top spec and any other spec !!

Dates to be decided Ryan.
As theres not many of us in this neck of the woods we will have to suit everyone.
In the meantime I am waiting on these guys to come back to me with prices and available dates.

Nope. Only one spec. We get everything the GT has minus the sat nav. It's not an option in Ireland.

Oh yea, phone kit is gone now too. If you ask for one they'll install a Parrot kit at about €400 and the steering controls will do nothing. You can get it from the UK if you know the part number.

Slightly :P, but I've got a Parrot in my car, and it's fantastic! So much better than the zed phone kit ever was; and I don't have a stroppy biatch saying "PARDON?" to me every 10 seconds :cold:

Ebay - but choose your seller wisely
if I wanted to hear the pitter patter of tiny feet, I'd put shoes on my cat......

Lastest is this course is opening sometime this month. For the first few months it will be run on a Friday only so I suggest we come up with a date that suits all. The fact its on in Monaghan should make it very accessible to our Northern Ireland owners as well.

I asked if we could also use our own Zeds and its not a runner due to the obvious insurance reasons.
The day starts with a run in the 325 BMWs before moving up to the higher performance Zeds
The Rally School offers fully furnished apartments such we wish to make a weekend out of it.

Cost for the day is €495 - which is likely at least the value I'd be knocking off my tyres and clutch if I was using my own Zed.

I would suggest we need at least 5 names to make a weekend of this and have some craic.

To give everyone time to plan for this I would suggest a date of Friday - Mar 28th. Does this suit all concerned at the minute?

I'll get the ball rolling and stick my name down:

1) Steady Zeddy
2)
3)
4)
5)

Well - I'd need to give them an idea of numbers first and as it may not be more than 5 - its unlikely to be substantially lower than retail.
