I'd love to do this, but can't committ to the date at the moment

No worries - we'll try suit everyone if possible - maybe suggest some dates that suit you guys and we can find some common ground - it would be fantastic to get "mondello" type numbers - that was a good meet.

HI, Thanks for the PM Shane! I will def keep an eye on this thread but have to sit on the fence for now I am afraid as I can only look a few weeks ahead at a time. I do have to say I love the idea of getting to grips with drifting in a Z though..

Well - I'd need to give them an idea of numbers first and as it may not be more than 5 - its unlikely to be substantially lower than retail.

Hi
I have been an absent member from the site but back again and would love the chance to push the Z. Count me in if ye guys still trying for that date.

Ger - There hasn't been much concrete interest in this from the Irish members - I'll push it out untill April/May and see how we are fixed for numbers then. At the moment theres just 3 or 4 guys with Zeds that I know will def go and I'd like to see bigger numbers for a proper meet.

As a way of persuading them to offer a discount (depending on numbers) how about trying to push some sort of free publicity angle on them. Photos of all the zeds on site etc. Worth a shot.

We'll go when we get a couple of more Zeds interested.
Any advance on 2? Dave? / Pete? / Ryan? / Ger? / Mark? / Stu? / Fiacre / Any other Irish Zed owners out there?

Look at it this way, its cheaper to spend 500 quid on an open track than spending 5k on replacing the back of your Z when you try it for the first few times ;-)

Excellent - just two more names and we're set.

1: Steady Zeddy
2: Ger
3: Austin
4:
5;

I think we should plan this for early September to give enough notice.
As mentioned earlier - €500 may seem expensive to drift for a day but if you were using your own Zed you'd likely be spending this on tyres and clutch. I for one would like to get the hang of drifting a Zed without worrying about the consequences.

I may be able to add 1 more name. Not a Z owner though but really wants to do the drifting day. Would this be a problem? I'll know for definite by tomorrow.

I guess it'd be ok - would obviously prefer as many Zeds as poss but if we have to build numbers using other means then so be it.

I'll leave this post run for a couple of days and if anyone else is interested please state an approx date that suits.
For me it'd be Sept/Oct as I have a couple of other car forum full weekend meets on this side of Sept.

No problem. My mate has just confirmed that he wants to do it if you want the numbers.

Sounds like a good trip.
BTW Pete - I'm putting a 350Z team together for the 1/4 mile drag in Limerick in September (weekend of the 20th I think) if you have any interest?

€500 is expensive for what it is. No matter how much you try and convince yourself otherwise.

You can get any number of supercar experience days for less. Although given the price of petrol these days,
how long before the course gets even pricier? In which case snap up the chance now :thankyou:

Perhaps - Stu you would like to lend me your Zed for the day for me to pratice my drifting for €500.
I reckon you'd spend it on tyres and clutch fairly handy after I'd be finished with it. :thankyou:
