Firstly I am over the moon with my Z, it looks and drives exactly how I wanted although the running in period is a pain :bounce:

I did however encounter a few probs with the handover.

Firstly, my appointment was at 10am, being eager I got there at 9.40am but unfortunately the guy picking up his GT-R before me was running late and I didn't sit down with the sales guy until nearly 11am. I was then told that there was a slight problem... the parking sensors had not been fitted! I was told the rears would be put in whilst we were going over the paperwork and the fronts would be put in at a later date. Fair enough I thought, this kind of stuff happens especially around 1st Sept as these guys were run off their feet.

I then went out to see my baby for the first time and found that they'd put the wrong numberplates on and the wiring for the rear parking sensors was still hanging out of the bumper.

I was seriously thinking I wasn't going to get to take her home with me today but the guys assured me they would get new plates on and get the sensors sorted. Another hour passed and I at last driving her home... with a full tank and a promise that they would fill her up again and valet her when it goes back to put the front parking sensors in.

All-in-all a not so smooth handover but I still have a whacking great smile on my face!! I love my Z i do.

Hope yours went a bit smoother than mine G Man!!

Had to get straight back to work after picking her up so pics to follow... actually felt like the popular kid at school with the new air max trainers when I drove in to work! :D

Nice one Swanee, shame about the customer service but £80 of fuel should make up for it... I would however advise against the valet but perhaps go for another freebee :bounce:

Looking forward to pics and also looking forward to the write up when you are able to give it some beans!

Sorry to hear it wasn't as smooth as it could have been. Once the little bits have been sorted it'll all be a distant memory, especially when you get the running in out of the way :bounce:

LOL at dealer antics

When I went to pick up my Z they blew the paint off the reversing sensors with a pressure washer and offered to touch it up!
With the GT-R they didn't have any despite selling them to me :bounce:

Enjoy the car though and just forget dealers...

Also, a year ago, it probably was nearer £80! Did you miss the year 2010 on this conversation?
