Thanks for that :P

After a quick browse:

You can't have the 7-speed auto on the base model then.

The steering lock is different depending on what size wheels are fitted.

And, of the 0-60 time: "Not optimum. Timing is likely to improve dependent on driver skill, road/ grip conditions and temperature"

Yes, I am a miserable bugger. But that's your problem, not mine.

I'm confused by the steering turns lock-to-lock thang. It suggests that you have to turn the steering wheel 0.1 more with 19" wheels but that would imply that you get more lock. Surely, if anything, you get less lock :teeth:

Perhaps the gearing is different? You get the same amount of lock but the steering is lower geared for the bigger wheels?

The good news is that the chap doing the demo says the headlights are brighter than the 350Z. Also you can turn the automatic wipers to 'off' (not sure about the lights).

Personally I could do without the auto wipers, auto lights and electric seats all together but would have liked to have seen the synchro rev as an option on the base model.

Edit: I just spotted that the turning circle is 40cm bigger with 19" wheels so you turn the steering wheel more to get less lock? I think it must be a typo and you turn the wheel 0.1 turns less with 19" wheels....

I know what you mean, but on the other hand why buy a car like this unless you're prepared to learn to heel and toe? :teeth:

Has anyone noticed the tyre sizes on the 19" rims? Shouldn't the fronts be a 40 ratio, not 45?

If what's stated is correct that would make the front diameter 28mm bigger than the rear if I'm calculating it right!

I agree Paul.

In two-door cars they're sure more luxury (or semi-luxury nowadays, perhaps) GT territory than sports car.

You're probably right - the Nissan USA website lists the tyre sizes as: 245/40WR19 (front) and 275/35WR19 (rear), it's probably a typo on the UK specs.

Pinned for everyone. Note this is for the original 2009 model and there are changes for 2010 (i.e. they have the Nissan Connect Sat Nav)

As I don't own a 370Z, I don't know for certain, but every UK brochure or spec sheet I've seen lists the tyres as either:

225/50 R18 (front)
245/45 R18 (rear)

or

245/40 R19 (front)
275/35 R19 (rear)

including the 2010 spec:

Yeah your right, I think a combination of red wine and MORE co-codamol has had an effect, sorry for any confusion. I think I was thinking of the 45 part of the 245
