Guys

Anyone else think it would be good to set up a meet in the next month or so...

May even have a couple of border scurmishes with the Midlands boys (well Glyn) and would even see if the boys from the Valleys (thats Thames and across the bridge ) want to come and play

Worry about location when we know everyone's availability and where they will be coming from, but what about Saturday 1 April for the inaugral meet.

Drive out, lunch, loads of chat, you know the score.

If you are interested and that weekend works for you, shout up...we'll worry about the detail later

Jez, there's nothing on the calender at the moment, so count me in.
Given we have both the M4 and M5 running through our area, shouldn't a location be close by one of these to help travellers time and distance ??
Oh and considering I've just had my baby professionally machine polished, glazed and waxed, she'll only be coming out to play if its a dry sunny day !!

Seaton...great it's next to Beer..what more could you want for a meet...er that and the model railway museum, or whatever it is Seriously, lovely part of the world (me being a Devon bay and all that)..opportunity for taking the long way around if we make a weekend of it.

If it's just a Saturday splash and dash, then maybe something Somerset (ex-Avon) way may be more accessible for those that will do "localish"

What about a trip through Burrington Combe and on down through Cheddar Gorge ?
The noise that will reverberate from the sides of the gorge will be loverlee !!!!!!

The Z definately needs to stretch its legs - the route Denzil mentioned is good - there are some nice fast roads over the Mendips & some half decent pubs too.

Right guys suggest we are on then.

Suggested 1 April which is the Sat or could do the Sunday if better for those that are in. Either way suggest a 12 o'clock meet up at Gordano Services (Jnc19 of M5). Couple of routes we can take from there cross country, via Cheddar/across to Wells/Shepton Mallet way etc..we can work out a route over the next week.

I'd like to join in but April 1 no good for me.

I'd also like to bring my partner but there is a limit to how much crankiness she can stand so it might be a part-time attendance.

As to venue .... The run through the Cheddar Gorge sounds great.

Have you thought about Clevedon as a meeting/socialising point. Nice little resort, got a pier - not really the seaside but pretty close!

Oh sorry I forgot you have a bit of sand too - which you're welcome to as it attracts 'holiday makers'

So how many of us are going to the meet on Sat.....? shame we can't get a bit more support.

Maybe we should take a run down to Exeter.....
