Not today, but went to the MSV Open Pitlane at Snetterton on Friday. My first ever trackday in a car and it was FANTASTIC!

Even though it was streaming wet all day, I'm glad I changed the pads to Ferodo DS2500s, but should have changed the fluid too as the pedal went longgg.

Now thinking what to change next.... What tyres do those of you who track your Zeds use? Sizes are difficult with the 45 profile...

Wondering if a remap at Abbey is worthwhile, I have an HKS intake, Kinetix cats and a.n. other exhaust system..??

My biggest problem was traction - spinning up in 4th on the straights, braking and cornering (spun twice  )

Can't wait to do it again, but I can see it becoming expensive...

good man!!!

get along to abbey and they will give you some good advice, on a normal track you would make more time up with suspension and brakes that dont go long but at snetterton you would probably benifit from a remap just as much, make sure get the fluid and brake lines changed tho..

tyres are difficult, usually the wider the better but if its raining i find the rays wheels work nicely with a decent tyre, i use cut r888's for rain but quite a few people like the Toyo Proxes

A neighbour of mine, who'd just swapped his Celica for a Seat - Muppet - went along to that and he said it was a good day, and it certainly sounded like it. It's certainly a safer place to experience the long brake pedal and the odd spin. :)

Speaking of progress-related mods, however, yesterday I fitted a shorter throw shifter to my T. A quick check of it this morning proved it's still as short and precise as I thought after a quick spin up and down the street. In fact it feels just like the changer on a Zed, only with a bit less resistance from the gearbox end after I changed the linkage bushes.
