Great vid of Sabine Schimtz in the ring taxi:

How about a nissansportz trip out in the ring taxi (M5) only 195 euros per lap which can be shared. ;)

Managed to stay with her for about 1/3 of the ring so know she is fast... :D

She and I did a whole lap in convoy (sorry Paul). She's a real showboater - if she caught traffic going in to a corner she'd change to drifting through the bend before pressing on after. Really good fun to watch from a cars length behind!

That looks like a fun thing to do :D

I'd love to have a go (assuming I get a pass from the boss!)

It's a good job it isn't the other way around, otherwise you 'spoken for already gentlemen' may have some explaining to do:

"I had the Ring Queen up my trumpet for most of a lap, dear."

"Oh, yes!"

Having never seen her drive is she actually a good driver rather than just knows the ring inside out?

You don't win 40+ races at the 'ring without being a decent peddler Dan. She can drive.

A question I've asked myself a number of times... does she drive on other tracks?

there is a lot to be said for skills you learn whilst racing but experience at the track you are racing on plays a huge part.

testing and learning the track outside of a race helps as does learning the track and off racing lines whilst in a race, as does the same in wet conditions.

No doubt she would be a force to be reckoned with but someone with a lot of experience at a track as technical and balls out as laguna seca would still win, imo...
