So here's a thought - how about I colour my wheels gun metal? The same or a shade different to the calipers? Should the GM wheels have a yellow pinstripe?

I did a quick photoshop thingy...

I think black would be too dark but then they would match the decals I suppose...

Comments and / or votes please :)

Mmmmm. Nice picture(s) Paul. :)

I'm struggling to make up my mind. Even though I tend to be a bit old fashioned when to comes to wheel colour, ie shiny silver or nothing, I could be persuaded by a darker colour on the basis of your second picture.

That said, to be really sure, you should perhaps lend me your Zed for three months: one month with silver wheels; one month with gun metal wheels; and, one month with gloss (not matt) black wheels. By then, I'm sure I'd be able to cast a vote. Probably . . . :)

I'm a big fan of gunmetal / anthracite wheels :)

Personally find that with black it's too dark and you lose the detail of the wheel design - which would be a shame as these are gorgeous wheels :)

Quite a split vote then! Now you know how I feel ! :)

The easy thing would be to leave them silver I suppose. Also, if I were to colour them I would probably feel the need to do the door handles too and that makes it more work. In which case maybe it's a longer term project when I'm 100% sure what to do...

I can't help thinking black would be just too dark (as Gus says) but would a yellow pinstripe give it that 'lift' or just look cr@p?

John - I see what you mean, I hadn't noticed the hidden Z before :)

Micheal - sorry mate, I won't lend you the car. Just do the right thing and get yourself another 350Z ;)

Oooh, that might help me decide (assuming I don't get bored between now and when I see yours of course) :)

How about... instead of gunmetal you go for dark grey with a slight bronze tinge (like the Titanium GT-R colour)? Or have a look at the colour of the wheels on the 11MY model - these are also supposed to have a bronze tinge.....

Might go nicely with the yellow!

How about metalic black or a very dark grey with a lot of flecks? I think that might be the way to go with regards to matching the decals and giving the wheels some depth of colour.
