Ok, here goes engine mods, Stillen Gen 3 intakes, Motordyne XYZ' Y' pipe connected to Motordyne ART De-cats and finished off with the nice sounding HKS SSM CBE, and of course an Uprev tune by Abbey, resulting in 313 whp .

I really wish the dyno plots off abbeys dynapack would should a torque scale that means somthing to me! lol...0-350lb/ft would be great not 0-1400!!!!

Here's the result of my visit to Abbey this week. Which was great fun!
Car had Berk HFCs and X-pipe exhaust fitted a few weeks ago so the "before" plot is the car with the new exhaust but no UpRev. Intakes are standard (at the moment.....)

First plot shows wheel BHP (now 314) and torque, the second plot shows flywheel torque up to 260 lbft (so is a more meaningful number) and air:fuel ratio. Mark @ Abbey told me that the standard car runs a very rich AFR, he thinks in order to raise the temperature in the cats. The tuned AFR is significantly lower.

By my maths, if standard car = 278 wheel BHP and 331 flywheel bhp then mine will be developing 375+ flywheel BHP (314/278 x 331) , which is nice.

Whatever, it's given the car real poke for overtaking! On private roads of course.... :shutup2: The people at Berk reckoned they "tuned" the exhaust to increase torque (by siamiesing the pipes hence the term X-pipe) and it would seem to work in practice.

When I say lower I mean the fuel bit - so AFR is higher! You know what I mean anyway.... I'm out of touch with my inner physicist!

Wow great results mate! When Mark said the car was running a rich OMG that car was down into the 10's AFR which is richer than my car thats boosted! lol..

The 370z respond really well to tuning! Enjoy the car mate!

I'd probably done about 2,000 miles on the car with the Berk system before getting the UpRev tune-up. Wonder if the ECU would have responded to the new exhaust by going even richer? Maybe Mark can tell us?

No kidding, the car is seriously quick in the gears now - and the noise is just insane, particularly inbuilt-up areas! :D :shutup2:

Normally cars lean out with breathing mods and no tune but yeah maybe the ECU learned the new extra air flow and over compesated for it by dumping in all that fuel! I bet your MPG is better too!

I think we have similar logic! I tried this out on my wife - "it's a great idea to spend £££s on a brand new car fitting exhaust and toys because it's now so loud that I don't put my foot down that often. So I'm driving more safely AND saving fuel!"

Anyone like to guess the response?

Now you treated your car AGAIN! wheres my present??? lol.. :shutup2:

On our dyno plots you get flywheel figure this is the graph on the left hand side of the AFR graph, but just divide the hub torque by the final drive ratio and your get the flywheel figure. On Derdsdrawd graphs this is the lower of the 2 graphs states flywheel on the top of the graph.

Not on fully closed loop cars like the 370's , the car will always tune to the AFR figure in the ECU calibration , we remap the AFR target map and the compensation map when we retune these 370's.

doesnt work like that I am afraid, we add 35bhp to the hub figure to get an approx flywheel figure , your car started with

293bhp hub + 35bhp = 328bhp stock 313bhp hub + 35bhp = 348 bhp after tuning.

hope this helps boys.

For completeness I'm updating this thread as well as my own.

The only thing that changed between my original plots at the top of this thread is that my car is now UpRev tuned by Mark @ Abbey.

Hub Torque & BHP: Light blue my standard car Vs Red & green lines UpRev tuned:

Air/Fuel Ratio: The thin green line is my standard car Vs The thick green line UpRev tuned
