We would like to invite your club members to attend a classic car and bike show on the first Wednesday of each month from April to September 2011 at Sherbrooke Scout Camp, Mansfield Lane, Calverton, Nottingham, NG14 6HP.

All types of cars, bikes and engines are welcome through steam, stationary, petrol, diesel, veteran, vintage, classic, collectable, custom, kit, sports, old, modern or unusual. Three large paddocks are available for show cars. Hard standing is available for heavy vehicles and bikes but your own stands would be an advantage. There is ample off-road parking for ordinary road cars.

We are prepared to make Club Areas available. Banners may be displayed and small marquees/gazebos erected by prior arrangement.

Vendors will have hot and cold food and drinks for sale at reasonable prices. Undercover facilities are available if the weather is inclement.

Come along for an informal get together to discuss, display and admire all things motor related.

There will be an entry fee of only £2 per adult all parking is free.

Trade stands are welcome.

The first meeting will be held from 6pm Wednesday 6 April 2011. (Club organisers and traders may attend from 4pm)

This show is organised by petrol-heads for petrol-heads so come along and enjoy. Any suggestions for improvement together with constructive criticism is always welcome. Please note that we don’t have time to refer back to every forum invited. Help the meeting to be a success by passing this information on to anyone you think may be interested, bring your friends to a great evening out.

The first meet is over (breaths a sigh of relief) and we had over 90 people there. A superb location on a beautiful sunny evening. Some lovely cars on display. Good food, a bar, 2 bands and great company.

Next meeting is Wednesday 4 May 2011. See you there?

THE NEXT MEETING WILL BE ON WEDNESDAY 22 JUNE 2011.

From now on the meetings at Sherbrooke will be held on the 4th Wednesday of each month starting in June.

Thanks to everyone for your support so far. The reason for the move is to avoid a clash with the Griffins and to get an extra show into each month, hopefully increasing attendance.

Notts car and bike show JUNE event.

Hello everyone. The next evening meet will be held at Sherbrooke on Wednesday 22 June from 6pm. The licensed bar and burger van will be present.

Two judges will ‘volunteer’ for the evening and a small trophy will be awarded to the car and the bike they would most like to take home.

A trophy will also be awarded for the Best Club Display.

Hold on to your entry tickets as each one is numbered. At 9pm a number will be called and the winner will receive a valuable prize.

I hope to see you all there, let’s make this the top event in Notts, it’s already the best venue.

It's a shame you live so far away. Getting local Z's to turn up is a real headache and there are enough out there.

It really can be hard getting people out to a meet. But when you do they love it!

Notts car and bike show JULY event.

Hello everyone. The next evening meet will be held at Sherbrooke on Wednesday 27 July from 6pm. The burger van will be present and soft drinks will be available but no bar on this occasion ( my fault, - administrative breakdown).

Junes event was a bit wet but we still had about 50 cars. The car trophy was awarded to an immaculate Austin Allegro. The bike trophy was not awarded as none turned up, probably due to the weather. The Best Club display was won by Drive It Or Ride It.co.uk with a very impressive turn out. The raffle prize, a nice tool kit, was won by a member from the Notts RS Owners club

I hope to see you all there, help make this the top event in Notts. We have the top venue.
