On the Beeb - Sky deal.... Did anyone notice that the Petition (on the Gov site) that you could sign got very close to the 100,000 signatures needed to force a debate in Parliament, and then suddenly disappeared! Apparently its not the first one to vanish like that - so much for democracy!

I didn't, but I'm not surprised. It is just another example of lip service being paid to democracy.
Mind you, according to the F1 section of last week's Auto Express, some MPs are trying to have it debated anyway. It will therefore be more worrying if nothing happens after that.
