It's the type of move I'd expect in the UK, but I'm still slightly shocked that the US have done it... They should have bought Ford and kept the money in their own country...

Is it just on TV that all American cars sound like V8s?
Oh, and in a similar vain, how come all car alarms have the same annoying 'electric squelch' sound on TV when someone clicks the remote?
