I am at the Leeds Festival at the moment, as a mate had a free day ticket going. However, Saturday was by far the worst day to go. I am just about to see The Horrors, who are about the only decent band on today, but far enough off the beaten track to enable me to get the laptop out of my manbag again and not encounter any trouble . . .

Anyway, I still don't think festivals are really my scene. Everyone’s too in tents.

I'll get me coat. And see you tomorrow.

Thanks Paul.

It was a bit wet under foot as I'd expected, so I took my wellies and definitely avoided a dose of trench foot as a consequence.

To be honest there was no-one there who really stood out. The Horrors, who I was most looking forward to seeing, were good though. Despite playing in a pitifully small tent and suffering a short power cut towards the end of their set. Roll on indoor gigs again though . . .

In other news, and talking about bad weather, I see Hurricane Irene has been downgraded to an Irish Summer. The poor blighters.
