So come on and moan about it here and get it off you chest.

I'll start..

Bloody adverts on tv..

you just start getting into a film / program and just at a crutial part
they cut to a bloody advert...
and another thing, there seems to be a lot more adverts per film / program now..
I know we need them but do we really need so many..

Bloody adverts...

What grates me are a group of women going to the bar and all ordering there own drinks rather than a round!

Why they cant just buy a round and step away from the Bar :)

Adverts? I agree. That's why I never watch anything 'live'. I either record and watch back or time slip it so I can skip the ads. You can often start a 30min program 10mins late and catch up by the end. The PVR is your friend :D

Shame the same can't be said for commercial radio in your car. Those Autoglass adds really get to me. B*ll*x does it mean your screen will crack. Sarah's Festa has had 4 big stone chips (some of them close together) for over 5 years and it's still intact. It looks a right mess though :)

That's because they are each individually hoping you'll buy them a drink mate :)

The way pump fuel prices are increased at the slightest hint of a crude oil price rise, even though there are 6 weeks of supply in the uk system, then when crude oil comes down, the pump prices DO NOT follow!!!!

Now THAT pisses me off :)

Films & TV
Product placement (a BMW Bond car?!)
The generic 'electronic squelch' sound effect they use for every car that is remote locked / unlocked
American actors being used just so the film sells in the US
Car tyres screeching even when on gravel surfaces
Over-use of special effects or 3D at the expense of a decent storyline or acting
British TV series being called 'seasons'

...there are more but I'll stop for now...!

what really grinds my gears is noisey kids;

was in the supermarket last night,

A. it was late (the kids should have been in bed)
B. they were running around like it was a play group (why can;t parents keep them under control)
C. they were screaming away and moaning making a big fuss (why didn't the parents just smack them and shut them up)

also kids in restaurants annoy the hell out of me, not all kids though, i don't mind kids being there if its a family restaurant, or if they are well behaved. but i hate eating in a restaurant where i've paid good money for the peace to be disturbed by Damien the demon child who should have gone to bed hours ago.

rant over.

Ditto. Or those who don't try.

Similarly with grammar too.

When both are used - even just the bare minimum - it makes the reading, and understanding the meaning, so much easier. To not do so is bordering on bad manners, as far as I'm concerned.

talking about sound effects.....

when an actor opens the cylinder of any revolver and spins it the stupid sound effect department
makes it click..

listen you bunch of numbskulls..
when the cylinder is spun while open (see pic) it makes NO SOUND so stop adding the clicks....

Posted Image

I actually shout at the screen when this happens...

(if anyone is interested I'll tell you how you make a cylinder click when you spin it)
ps I'v owned 4 revolvers so I know a bit about them..

people being exceptionally noisy on campsites that are on a remote part of the west coast of scotland that you had to travel 20 miles down a logging track to get to just so you could keep the F**K away from civilisation. They bring their whole extended family with them, play music from the cars at full volume during the day and have a bonfire 10m from your tent tripping over your lines during the night every 5 mins.
