i have a 2006 35oz and the petrol tank cap was open, is it only possible for it to be opened from inside the car (if thats the case someone other than me has been in my car) or is there another explanation

it is only possible to open it correctly form inside the car but i guess someone could force it. are there any signs of scratches or damage round the flap? could you have accidentally hit the button?

Hi,

Welcome to the club

Theoretically it's only possible to open the flap from inside the car (either using the release button or the emergency release which means taking some of the boot lining out).

If the 'lock' has failed, or been forced, then I don't suspect it's too hard to open it from outside the car. Is there any obvious damage around the flap? It could just be that it didn't latch properly and has popped open.

I hope it's nothing suspicious. Have you lost any petrol?

Paul :P

I'm not sure if John can type quicker than me or he just had less to say

Either way, great minds and all that...
