Hi Peeps,

As I am selling my car, I was expecting to be in-undated with emails, phone calls and texts as the car is going at such a good price. However, I have found this not to be the case

I have had only one genuine interest in the car which turned out to be a dead end (no contact)

This morning though I received a lovely scammer email via Autotrader and here it is;

Hi,Do you still have it for sale? i will like to make an offer of the exactly amount you want to sell it,payment will be made through paypal and i will arrange for the pick up as well. Cheers, Andrew.

The email of (cnzvdfgnfg@gmail.com) immediately flagged up some suspicion and a quick google search proved this to be the case.

Now, shall I have a little fun with the scammers and lead them on a wild goose chase? Or shall I just ignore?

Ignore. These people are not worth the time.

I would leave it too. If you reply, the chances are your email address will be passed to other scammers and you'll be inundated with SPAM.

Sorry to hear the car isn't generating much interest I suppose it's not the best time of year to be selling it.

I have heard some horrid tales of scammers requesting to meet you 'somewhere' and then people being robbed of their cars. A real worrying business. Leave the sly spammer to his nasty world, not worth your efforts. I do hope you have some luck soon Liam, it's a lovely car.

My heart wishes that it takes ages to sell as I adore my car, but my head says it will cripple me, plus I want to best deal for the car, as we all would.

It's now on Autotrader, Pistonheads and Here so it looks like it's the waiting game

Perhaps setting up a totally seperate email address JUST for the sale, would have been a good idea, then you could have played the game

Sorry the genuine interest level is low, just the time of year and the general economic state I suppose

I knew that selling the car would of been hard, especially this time of year, but at the end of the day I have upto February 2012 to sell

I love doing this. I put several links on 'the other forum pertaining to Zed related activitiy that shall remain unnamed' following my ossum carry on where I pretended to be an out of work porn star with very unusual paypal addresses.
