Back when I was picking beans in Guatemala, we used to make fresh coffee, right off the trees I mean. That was good. This is s*** but, hey, I'm in a police station.

I want 450 at the wheels (without the NOS) - I'll be sad if I don't make it - it's going on a hub dyno so should be accurate.

The feeling is she may make more, that remains to be seen.

I'm running the stock 3.33 pulley at the moment I do have a smaller one as well (3.12) however we may have to go bigger if inlet temps run to high or the high compression causes issues.

Haven't counted sleeps just know its flat out to the finish now - although there is more to do after the engine is setup! It never ends

I would not think you will make 450 on the OEM vortech pulley mate? May be on the 3.12 or 2.87. What compression are you running?

11.0CR pistons with a 0.5mm head skim static CR is 11.3

plus the cams and headers etc and water meth it should be possible.

Bloody hell! im running 8.5CR on my car! Your gonna have to use good fuel with that bad boy mate! Oh well 450++ it is then! LOL.. Why did you choose such a high CR? Just to make the blower more efficient?

High comp low boost is the way ahead - or I've just wasted a lot of money :scare:

The idea is/was/should be that with high comp and low boost I will get better torque all the way up the revs and a more responsive engine - lightened flywheel and AMS pulleys etc - the pay of is detonation! now it should be possible to tune that out with a good ECU but we don't want to retard it so much the we loose performance so water meth - double hit - increase the octane and reduce the intake temps then take an engine that was designed for NA and give it a lil bit of boost and Bob's your uncle - a very expensive failure or a Zed that goes takes off a scolded cat - I'll let you know around the 20th of next month, as I say fingers crossed :)

Youll be fine with the water meth too. Your not going to run huge boost so youll make more power per PSI at that CR anyway! Nice to see this way of doing things for a change!

Hello peeps.

I started tonight with sanding down the lower console and giving it a second coat of primer

Posted Image

My new AEM (second hand from eBay) fuel pressure gauge arrived today - tested and works fine, so that replaced the cheapo one in the console I also modified them slightly so the fit snug in the mounts.

Posted Image

bit more done on the wiring

Posted Image

then fed some more wires, this time for the water meth controller and pump.

Posted Image

Then Bob turned up and we kicked it up a gear - cheers mate

Parts going on all over the place she is even looking like a Zed again!

Good evening again, back at it again tonight I have deadlines you know!

So first up after Chris`I's comment about the wires fitting (which after doing Bobs radio I knew would be tight I had a test fit and it was very very tight! Nothing that a bit of Dremel action didn't cure

Posted Image

The I fitted the water meth pump and finished the wiring, except the tank low level warning as this will have to wait until the trim is back in the boot.

Posted Image

Posted Image

Now as Ian told me neons are making a comeback and NeilP told me they were cool I put one in the cubby so I can see the NOS bottles at night

Posted Image

Also put some colour on this

Posted Image

the next pic is without flash (and out of focus ) but show the colour better

That takes me back to when I mounted the display and controls for my MP3 player (M-Station) in the sunglasses holder many years ago :)

What a gent - all that work to do to your car and you're changing Val's brakes :notworthy:

Hi everyone

Time for a long overdue update - It's not that I (or Bob) have been idly sitting by or anything it's just all the work is - well not a photo op

We did have to nip out and buy another Zed this week though - it was cheaper than the Haines manual and a great reference to see where all the bits go

Been sorting the wiring mostly so my dash is getting mad with all the cables for the new dials etc

Posted Image

got the water/meth feed in from the pump

Posted Image

through the car

Posted Image

Posted Image

and into the engine bay

Posted Image

installed the NOS pulsoid's as well

Posted Image

Posted Image

put a T piece in for the NOS pressure gauge

Posted Image

and I've just started working out the location for the power steering radiator
