Hi guys,

I have just brought a lovely 350z GT and thought I would join the forum to hopefully get some help upgrading and possibly having a meet up and a good drive.

I have attached a couple of photos.

Cheers

Hi there :welcometonissansportz:

You have a very nice car there. I used to have a Sunset '04 plate and loved it :)

What sort of mods have you got planned?

It would be good to meet up next year, we're planning some now.... Whereabouts are you by the way?

Hi Paul,

Thank you, absolutely loving it.

Well i had to change the back box and mid section so brought a scorpion cat back system and thinking of doing the rest of the exhaust but would have to upgrade the air filter first. Also open to ideas as want to get the most out of the car. But being youngish some bits may have to wait because of insurance.

That sounds great. Living in Berkhamsted at the moment.

What car do you have now?

Sounds like the exhaust systems fails early there, i'm still running the original '04 system and nothing is even rusted slightly, i bet i could unbolt the cats without much problem :P

MaDmaXX, sadly it did, the joint between the mid and back box was corroded and then I managed to ground it and it snapped, but the new exhaust sounds amazing :)

And loving the car. i am going to have to change the pads and brakes next year, could anyone advise me what to get?

Welcome to the Forum.
Ferodo DS2500 are a good pad for fast road / light track use.
Not sure about discs on the Z but AP slotted are very good on the GTR

Hi Paul,

Thank you :)

I shall have a look, had the delights of the service and MOT at the weekend so a couple of things to get.

Love the GTR, although would never get insured at my age :(

Yep, the exhausts have a real habit of doing that.

I owned my 350Z about 4 years then bought my (current) 370Z. They're both great cars :)

Darn straight i am! ;) Though it has to be said, the weather here is strangely similar to the NW of England, just less windy, slightly colder winters and warmer summers.

I need pads myself, the fronts are low but currently dust up *really* easily, but i don't run brembo brakes, most 350's here don't. I guess it's the same as the JDM brakes? I'm after some that are cleaner, i wouldn't expect factory pads to be so dusty.

Still, with the new exhaust, comes some freedom in the feel and easier driving (for me) it's a very quiet car from the stock exhaust with the windows up.
