I bought a new toy to satisfy my speed craving

It may not be to everyone's taste however, it was described as 'mint' condition

Posted Image

It's a Honda Hornet 600 and it's RAPID! Got it for a steal because it's winter and the bloke wanted a quick sale ;)

Posted Image

Rode it all day yesterday, but now the bad weather has set it's all tucked up and covered for another dry day

Now that's an idea but I don't think my skill would keep me on it for long

The Carbs are from a 1998 CBR600, the FI was introduced in the 2001 CBR600. A friend has a 2003 CBR600 which is FI, few subtle mods have seen a a RR Readout of about 125bhp. The nutter wants to go turbo next though :o

Ack, see, turbo is where i wouldn't want to go on a bike, just too much through such a skinny contact patch. I had the 2002 CBR600 Sport, so the in-between version before the full RR version came out.

I agree, I have a 954 FireBlade (the last of the real ones for those that don't know) and the last thing I need is more power...

Yeah, he's talking about wider swing arms and tyres and all sorts, why he couldn't sell up and by a bigger bike in the first place :rtfm:

Just been sorting it out today, nothing major, just a quick wash, swapping number plate for a legal one, new headlight bulb and managed to get the alarm working :kicking:

Went for another ride today, I love this bike!

If you're going to ride on salty winter roads I definitely recommend coating the engine and other metal bits with ACF50

Here's ACF, http://www.acf-50.co.uk/motorcycle.htm but if you're looking to do anything other than bare metal, i'd suggest the following instead.
