I was having a conversation with someone at work and she says she's always wanted a sports car but it has to have pop-up headlights (don't ask me why!) Since they don't do them any more I said she'd have to get something quite old.

Can anyone help out with a list of cars with them? The newest ones I could come up with was the MX-5 and the Ford Probe! :lol:

I can think of a few;

60's Lotus Elan
90's Mazda RX7
90's BMW 8-Series
80's Mk1 Toyota MR2

The Elan will definitely be expensive :lol:

Is it really true that they wanted to call it 'Stallion' but it got lost in translation?!

I always liked pop-up headlights as a kid but I think things have moved on now. There are plenty of good reasons not to have them nowadays.

Back to my original question - what is the newest car to have them?

Porsche 944 or 968, still a quick car point to point.

Although a decent mk1 MR2 is great fun I loved mine and very cheap to run iirc :D
