Does anything need to be reset after removing and refitting the front bumper??? Don't want any warning lights flashing because I've not reset something...!

No nothing need resetting, just be methodical with washer connectors, bolts, clips and screws.

It's different on the 350Z and 370Z Paul.

You need to be careful with the front bumper on the 370Z. It's best to disconnect the battery before removing the bumper because of the pyrotechnics associated with the pedestrian protection system that pops the bonnet up in the event of a collision.

If you do not disconnect the battery then remove the bumper a warning light will come on and you need Consult 3 to turn it off (i.e. your Nissan dealer or Abbey Motorsport).

Also, for your own safety, never work around that area with the ignition on as the pyrotechnics are then live.

That's interesting info

Sometimes these are for US cars and don't work on UK ones but maybe 66cw could try that out for us? Don't forget - the timing on the instructions are critical.

That's true, though sometimes (with them all being made in Japan) i'd hope they were the same

Have refitted a new front bumper and now have the old one in the garage, no warning lights so all ok. How much do you think the old one might be worth??? Has a slight bobble (10p size) on plastic on right handside and easy to sand out and put right, the paint on it is unmarked as the paint protection film stop and paint damage....what do you think it's worth?

Did you do anything in particular to prevent the light coming on? I don't suppose you took any pics during the job?

In answer to your question I've seen a few on ebay. They generally start at around £100 but to be honest I don't remember seeing anyone bid on one.

The hood pop up procedure that was listed up here is for a UK car , the US cars dont have these safety feature.

You been lucky then every car we had the bumper off has had to have the bonnet lifter light reset.
