Ouch!

I'll have to try and get my quote down further or he'll have to live with a scooter until he learns not to drop or crash it all the time!

or gets a lot older !

I would recommend, I'm sure Tony would agree ;) to get some crash bungs fitted to it, just in case of an accidental drop or it falls over

Never fitted them to my bikes, just couldn't handle cutting holes in the fairings- There's now bung's that come on brakets, no need to cut the fairings, although wouldn't apply to Jamie's bike.

After a pal flipped his brand new R1 a couple o weeks ago (New tyres, cold tyres, giving it large) I was amazed at how little damage the bike had (He has crash bugs in various places) I considering fitting them myself.

Looks fun. My Mum never let me get a 50, i had to wait until i was 17. It was very odd, as my mother isn't the power/speed/motor enthusiast type, but the excuse was not being able to get myself out of trouble due to lack of power... :fool:

Well after 7 weeks of ownership, the bike spent more time at the garage being fixed than here at our house. Jamie did less than a mile on it. The clutch wouldn't dis-engage and we had to send it back three times. The last time they took it two weeks ago and we have had nothing but bottomless promises ever since. So on Saturday we packed up the log book, user manual and MOT and headed for the garage, armed with some 'legal spiel' courtesay of Mr Flabby. We didn't need it because they saw my face and when I plonked the paperwork on the desk and said, 'OK, enoughs, enough, I want ,my money back', he asked if I wanted a cheque or a credit on my card. I got badly stung by the insurance company. We have had the insurance on it for 24 days!!! £438 and they wouldn't insure the new bike so are refunding me £190!!! The new bike is insured elsewhere for £375 by the way.

Two hours later and at another garage, he is now the proud owner of this. Not something I was all together happy with, but backed by Tony, his granded and the salesman, I was out voted. I agree the colour will make him visable to others if nothing else.....

Don't you just love Insurance companies...
New bike looks great they certainly didn't make mopeds like that in my day.
My last bike a Suzuki GSX1100 had the same width rear tyre!

He is very pleased with it and has spent today mastering the gears up and down the lane. I know, I know, I will have to let him go on the road soon

When you said bike Sar, I thought you meant pushbike. It seems I was a little wide of the mark . . .
