It's a big, expensive car, which is fast off the line. Tell me something I didn't know. Then, tell me something that's of regular use in the real world.

Yeah, I'd have one too, but then I'd have a GT-R as my daily driver

The Lambo is 4WD, and already known for having smooth, progressive and linear power and torque curves. Therefore I bet, like a GT-R, that it's incredibly easy and virtually idiot-proof to launch quickly. Pitting it against a 2WD 911 with a massive pair of turbos, and all their unpredictability, which I bet in comparison is a big challenge to launch quickly, seems like folly to me. And then there's the SLS - the lard butty of two-door two-wheel drive supercars. I bet the Lambo could accelerate through 60mph in the time it takes the lard butty to change gear. Being 2WD and relatively sluggish I'm not surprised the lard butty appears to have been left behind in the last century.
The test just seems like a non-event to me; and for all the initial criticism the Lambo appears to receive, the rest of the test seems to give the impression of smoke being blown up the a*** of that manufacturing group. It would probably have been no less fair a one-off test to have pitted the Lambo against an Audi A1. Oh, just remind me, who owns Lamborghini . . ?

I don't know whether the Porsche or the Merc would agree with that though, do you?
It just seems a bit too slanted in favour of the Audighini to me.
I think anyone with even half an ounce of common sense (although what they would be doing participating in a drag race that was not made under proper test conditions already seems like a paradox too far for me) - if they had the choice between a big mid-engined, big-powered, naturally aspirated, four-wheel drive car, a big front-engined, naturally aspirated, two-wheel drive car with "a paddleshift 'box [that] is just too lazy in its responses" (Evo, issue 152), or a medium-sized rear-engined, furiously turbocharged, two-wheel drive car - if they wanted to win a one-off drag race in those circumstances would only ever choose one car.
So it's not telling us anything we couldn't already have worked out, and any fun resulting from it is only vicarious.
