Well I went with Adam to middlehurst motorsport today to get a rear tire and service done on his GTR. We were told is would take no more than a few hours as it was a basic service and quick tire change. We got there at 8:30am and hung about for a little while before going off for some breakfast.

Adam gets a call about 10:30 saying ALL the tires have hit the wear bars on the inner edge and could do with changing. Ok no problems...That will be £2260 please!?!?!?!?! OMG I nearly fell over...These were for the CHEAPER bridgestone's too! To top this off as well the car ended up taking FAR longer than planed as the wheel balancing machine was playing up! We left at 3pm!!

Oh well Rant over and heres a few cheeky pic's to cheer every one up....sorry just off my phone :bleh:

Car was of GTROC..

I paid £1270 for a set of Bridgestones but believe they have gone up to £1400 now.
Do not use dealers for tyres unless you want Dunlops which are slightly better on track.
They all wear on the inner edge - is tracking set to track or normal?

My shed cost less than those tyres

Do like the blue, but if I could (ever) afford one, I would prefer the GT-R in a solid red ;)

Im sure he could have shopped around and got them cheaper but still there very expensive tires. Im still thinking about a GTR in a few years and I think Ill be dropping a set of nice volk 19" wheels on there just for the cheaper tires! ha..

2260 for tyres, Thats plain robery.

I really struggle to see why anyone wants a car where parts are at intergalactic prices & even consumables like tyres or a plain rip off. I suppose its just because you can. It really makes proper supercars look cheap to own

Still a big "how fkin much" in my book

I guess the only plus for those who really want one of these but cant afford one now is s/hand they will appeal to a small market so prices for the car itself should tumble due to the running costs

The car was not due an MOT so I said run whats left of the tires into the ground then swap them? I would want my FULL £2000 worth out of them! lol.. Im deaf thinking 19" are the way to go for tire costs!
