I took delivery of this yesterday:

On the 370Z it plugs in here (no, I'm still not going to remove the blue plastic film from the foot rest!):

It doesn't get in the way when driving for me, but it might for some I expect.

Anyway, it was only a cheap Bluetooth ODBII reader but it works so far:

I've not had a proper chance to play with it yet and I am still using the free app so I'll give you some info as I work it all out :)

Nice one Paul! I would look for a male to female OBD cable that will allow you to keep it plugged in all the time and just tuck it away under the dash some where! Looks like a smart bit of kit.

Yes, I did wonder that mate. The only thing is, there is a light on the reader all the time - even with the ignition off. So I'm not sure I would have it connected in day to day use. I suppose if I did choose to get a M-F cable I could add a switch...

I've just downloaded the full app (a whopping £2.95) and it does have a lot of extra functionality and a better interface. You can set up different car profiles and it'll record 0-60, 0-100 times, etc.

You can download logs (which can be overlaid with your GPS) and upload them to their website too. Take a peek here :)

Cheap as chips!!! Less than £16 for the app and reader combined!!!

A word or warning - the cheap ODBII reader I bought (this one) might not read all the possible codes the car has to offer. I'm not sure about this yet but I will try and work out if it's an issue.

When I get a chance I'll post up what it can show / log. I have to say the app is brilliant - you can change the multiple screens with dials, graphs, widgets, etc.

0-60 times? That does sound tempting. I can bring it to some meets since it's such an easy plug and play to :)

Yep, mine is Android. The app I have doesn't have an iThingy version but there must be something equivalent. I just searched for 'ODB' in the Android Market.

Looks good. I would have bought one from the UK if I'd seen one at a decent price like that. Let us know how you get on :)

That sounds about right. I tested it when I took Sarah to some friends so the vast majority of the trip was in 30 zones with traffic lights. I think you can spot the dual carriage way sections (the red bits!)

Very fancy, not sure i'd leave it plugged in though :(

Also, the port is perma powered, hence the light all the time. I've just been looking at the UpRev stuff with a laptop, the stuff you can do is crazy!!

Driving down the road and my friend (holding the laptop) is sat there saying, tell me when you're changing lanes, as he turns on the indicators!!! Options like, popping the boot, sounding horn, activating windscreen wipers are all on there!!

Yep, as I said I'll probably only use it when I want to play - or put it on a length of cable and fit a switch.

Your setup sounds like a lot of fun! I expect someone who knows what they are doing could program a PIC to do some amazing stuff.
