Well after shooting the little supercar video from a few weeks back I have been aproached by the owners of supercardriver.com saying they really like the video and could they use the footage on there new website! I said that was fine.
I swapped mobile numbers and had a little conversation with one of the co owners about them wanting me to help/shoot a promo video for there club which would be for free and I said that would be fine as this helps me get some exposure too.
I have had an email this morning saying they would like to use me for the shoot plus more of the events as long as the footage is uploaded via them on to there supercardriver youtube channel?
If not then there not interested? I've said that's fine but ill be keeping the footage up on my youtube channel too. I just wanted your opinion on this as I'm doing them a favour and all I would be getting back is some hits on my channel page and my own name being spread about a little?
That's not asking to much?

They can't expect exclusivity from you unless you agree to a specific video or they want to pay you IMO.
I think you want maximum exposure of your top talents though.

I had a similar approach several years ago from an internet based travel company wishing to use some of my photographs of the States. I obviuosly told them no problem and was excited to get some of my picutes published! They never paid me which was part of the deal but therefore I kept all the rights to the images used and have since had them published elsewhere. To be perfectly honest the company you are dealing with should know that as well.
It worked out well for me, and I subsequently had several 'paid' photo shoots in magazines off the back of it!
Congrats on being approached though...you definitely have a real talent for videography!

Thanks guys, I just wanted some one else to cast an eye over the situation. I think its unfair for them to expect me to film/edit THERE even for FREE and then me just hand the footage over to them! I don't mind them using the footage but i would be keeping it up on my channel too.
