Over in the paying nissansportz members section, we had the opportunity to put their names forward to see the JUKE-R up close and personal.

Today is the day these 3 lucky Members of nissansportz got to crawl all over the JUKE-R - before the UK press!!

Very interesting insight into the Juke R.
Thanks to Nissan for allowing us to crawl all over it well before a lot of the media has had the opportunity.

The car is based on a 2010 GTR engine, drive train and Controls transplanted into the Juke by RML.
The attention to detail and finish of this car is at a very high standard for what is basically a 2 off prototype.
Impressive how the dash and seats have been moved back 100mm to sit the engine as far back as possible so as to optimise the handling.
Everything is fully functional - even the Aircon works. Seats are very good for track use and the roll cage is not too intrusive.
I think a low volume run should be offered - If it was around £50K I'd have one!

Thanks to David @ Nissan for making this possible and for being there to answer all our questions

As Paul says, the level of finish is amazing. It wouldn't look out of place in a showroom (well, it would, but you know what I mean!)

I'll go through my photos now.

I didn't manage to sneak one out but I'm sure I heard somewhere that possession is 9/10ths of the law - and this has my number plate on it unless I am very much mistaken...

The standard Juke to the right was the new special edition in Black rose colour which is also used on the 370Z and looked very good.
The Juke R had a matt black wrap and all the panels were composite GRP not steel.

At this point I'd like to remind you that this was available to all paying nissansportz Members (although only 3 were allowed to attend on this occasion because of a restriction applied by Nissan).

Now is the best time to part with that £24 so you too could take part in some more 'money can't buy' events
