My son had an endoscopy on Friday and it looks rather like some of the pictures the consultant showed me

Snow......PAH!
I laugh at the sight of snow now, muahahahahaha....
This is how I found my Zed after my nightshift Sunday morning at 6am
Upon arriving at my street
Back on my drive
Varis Snow Plough works well
I am happy to say that the Nankang SV-2 snow tyres performed faultlessly.
Didn't get out of shape at all, only when I booted to see when it would actually break traction, and even then once off throttle again it was back to normal, no sliding, no drama
I laugh at the sight of snow now, muahahahahaha....

I was going to say - how the heck did you manage to drive in that?! Then I read you have snow tyres on...

Sweet, i wondered how you got the lights on, until i realised you were actually having to drive it as well!!
How did you get on with opening the door (with the auto window lowering?) covered in so much snow and freezing etc?

Door wasn't frozen shut, so opened ok
I deffo recommend snow tyres.
And even the name suggests it, they are fine for any driving below 10C, dry, wet or snow.
I've had these on since beginning of November and it has been fine leading up to the snow.
So anybody thinking of getting some, but wondering how much of a difference they actually make, wonder no more, they do exactly what they say they do.
When driving with RE040's I had to really concentrate and pay attention when it started slipping, with these I can just drive with more confidence. You can virtually drive normally at 30mph on snowy roads even compacted snowy roads too.

I'll second that, i got just a pair of studless snow tyres for the front of my Prelude when we had snow, they were exactly as described above

Might have to think about a set, can't get mine out of my road and stuggled to get the Z back on the drive this morning. Working from home today.

I bought my set from mytyres.co.uk
Got the standard sizes for the Rays 225/45 and 245/45 in R18.
Paid about £450 for the set of Nankang SV-2 back in October.
Friendly local tyre place fitted them for about a tenner.

Jess and I had a fun trip up to the lakes this weekend! Drove up in the megane on saturday night (passing 3 major car accidents on the M6!) until we finally got stuck by a pub about 10 miles from the farm we were staying at! The farmer rescued us in his 4x4 which was nice of him! lol..
