Does anyone know of any power sliding courses/days that you can go on?

Want to look into it for this summer, BUT not using MY car if you know what I mean.

I AM used to rwd as my last car was an S2000 with no traction control, but seeing as I have best part of 330bhp In my 370 i would love to learn how to extract that more safely or learn some tips on power sliding etc on track.

Does anyone know of anything worth considering?

Ive found drifting courses but I'm not sure if drifting is the right thing I'm after if that makes sense. More power sliding and getting to know the limits

Try giving CAT Driver Training a shout

They offer various different courses and they are including Gymkhana this year ;)

Yes, Did the CAT Drifting - Grip limit day last year. It really was an excellent day out.
A good mix of your car and the Caterhams with excellent tuition as usual.
The track is also wetted so as to minimise tyre and transmission wear.
We did it as a group of 4 and it was very reasonably priced.

Thanks for quick replies.

The CAT day looks good. Found this one also (albeit more expensive and in an mx5 which is not as much of an adrenaline rush as the caterham)

You can do a group day for the caterham, get about three people who also want to go, it cuts the cost a little :) If you post up you may find others who also wish to join you.

There are a lot of guys on here who have done CAT days and all have gone back for more. They are excellent and Colin and Jo are the best in the market.

There are quite a few people on here who might be up for a day at CATDT - I try and go at least once a year!

And if you are a paid up member you may get a special price (It was a day with the club at CATDT that made me join nissansportz in 2005!)

I keep promising myself that I will do another one but have never got round to it. I'd be up for either and I have got a set of Bridgestones in the garage that seriously need wearing down.

Keep me posted folks :teeth:

I did one & was a tadge disapointed, the cars have sticky front tyres & awful rears pumped up to a million psi so they drift incredibly easily at low speed, felt more like a spinning day than a drift day, The cars are also pretty small inside & many of us came away with bruised knees. If you are aperson of sizeable dimensions its not for you, Im 5'6, 12 stone & found it just OK

If you intend to do a day in the Caterham, i would recommend getting skateboard elbow pads to prevent bruising but din't have any probs with knees.

Hi Stuart

Are you sure you came to CAT as unless my records are wrong, I have no record of you training with us? Yes we have Caterhams and I can't dispute the size of the cockpit but our courses are definitely not about spinning around. The majority of courses are on a 1-2-1 basis, with the maximum group size 4 when taken as the car club format. From your description was it the Caterham Experience you went on? We have many clients who come to us having been dissatisfied with the CDX Experience, but likewise I'm sure there are many who are happy.

Jo :type:

PS If I'm going to have egg on my face and you say you've trained with us, then please be gentle in my humiliation :teeth:
