MIDWEEK SUPER GT ACTION RETURNS LIVE ON NISMO TV
Yokohama, Japan: Fuji International Speedway will host round two of the 2017 Super GT Championship this week with the race held mid-week as part of Japan's annual "Golden Week" celebrations.
The 110-lap race will again be streamed live on NISMO TV on YouTube from the venue which hosts the annual NISMO Festival – this year scheduled for Sunday, November 26.
This is one of two visits to Fuji this year and the second longest race of the season at 500km.
Last year's Fuji 500km event was a huge success for Nissan with the GT-R going to victory lane in both the GT500 and GT300 classes.
Ronnie Quintarelli and Tsugio Matsuda took the GT500 win while Jann Mardenborough had his first Japanese victory – taking the GT300 win with Kazuki Hoshino.
The strong performances by GT Academy winner Mardenborough last year has earned him a seat in GT500 for 2017 – joining forces with Hiro Yasuda aboard the Calsonic IMPUL GT-R.
Cars hit the track on Wednesday at 9:00am local time with qualifying scheduled for 2:40pm. Thursday's race is scheduled for 2:10pm. See inforgraphic below for times in your local timezone.

NISSAN GT-R RETURNS TO WORLD CHALLENGE BATTLE AT VIR
Viriginia International Raceway, Alton, VA, USA: The Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3 returned to Pirelli World Challenge action in the US last weekend with GT Academy winner Ricardo Sanchez joining forces with Frankie Montecalvo.
The duo are contesting all five SprintX rounds of the championship in 2017 and kicked off their assault with a fifth place finish in the PRO/AM class on Sunday. The result was a strong fightback after electric issues curtailed their efforts in the opening race on Saturday.
"The week started out quite well, with the pole position in class," Sanchez said.
"We had an electrical issue on Saturday's race and that put us P22 on the grid for Sunday. I started the race and made good progress, from P22 to P15, P4 in class. The series gave me the best start award of the race, which is amazing. I had so much fun.
"This class is really old school with a lot of overtaking. You can use any line around here and there are a lot of high speed corners.
"Even though it was an up and down weekend, and I'm disappointed we missed out on a podium, Always Evolving did an amazing job with the car and I was very happy with the Nissan GT-R.
"We'll definitely keep pushing in Canada for the next round at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park and I'm confident we can challenge for a podium."
