Well I just thought I'd share my excitement in telling you I'm due to collect my new toy on Saturday!!! Can't wait to drive it.... just to make it even more exciting, I haven't seen it or ever driven one! but I know what I want and have to have one!  For all of you guys & girls who know these cars inside out, are there any newbie details I should know about and if I was going to make any changes / enhancements over the next few months - what would you suggest?

I'll post some pics over the weekend of my new baby beast!!!

I'm sure someone will be along with things to look out for on delivery and I believe one of those will be the transit packing on the front springs.

Enjoy the grin factor!

Welcome scrapper! You've just made a lot of people very jealous!

As John says the shipping spacers are the first things to check have been removed.

As for enhancements, simple things like LED bulb upgrades are popular. A louder exhaust is too (perhaps not quite so important on the Nismo). Different intakes if you like the noise (not much performance increase to be had though), etc.

You might want to consider some clear vinyl paint protection on the front too.

But, most of all, enjoy, take photos, and sign yourself up for some meets!

Welcome in mate. I've had mine since January and still grin every time I drive it.

A louder exhaust is too (perhaps not quite so important on the Nismo).

You might want to consider some clear vinyl paint protection on the front too.

Louder exhaust is still super important, Nismo is still super quiet.

Paint Protection on the front end is a very worthwhile addition if you have the extra cash up front. It's not the cheapest 'mod' in the world but for peace of mind it is priceless! The front bumper, bonnet and roof are stone magnets.

the exhaust is a little bit quite and drones, I upgraded mine to the aam shortails really does make a hell of a lot of difference

Hi Mate,  Congrats - I know the feeling I never drove mine before the day.  Its when you see it in the flesh you will know you made the right decision.  Expect a lot of attention, far more than any car you have ever owned.

Exhaust is a popular update.  Mine still has stock.  One day I say I will change it.  The great thing about Zeds is you can make them - your own.  You should have the new Start Button, But you can put GTR Dome Lights inside, LED Number plate bulbs and interior bulbs.  But make it your own and more importantly enjoy it.

I cannot wait to hear about the collection and see the pictures.

Nismo Entry Plates....  They have to come from Japan and they are mega money...  But they were easy to fit.  A lot of members go with the illuminated ones which look

Congratulations! - Dr. Chubbs can see you've clearly developed acute Zeditis already.

As for the idea of getting a new exhaust, does the new Nismo have fake engine noise these days, like the standard car? You'll know if it's got the fake noise by looking at the roof headlining, above the driver's head.

If you see one of these little microphones...

IMG_20170521_101122508.jpg

...you have fake engine noise. If you see one, there will be two others - one in the lining above the passenger's head and one towards the rear. If they're nowhere to be seen you don't have the fake engine noise or, for that matter, active sound enhancement either (road noise killer).

If you have the fake engine noise and you want to turn it off (because you don't like it, or because you want a loud exhaust instead), you can't - the dealer has to do it!

I'd be interested in clarification of whether or not the Nismo has it. It's a much maligned solution to the lack of V6 grunty sound in the 370, but I must say, having lived with it for a few months, I don't mind it in most circumstances. I'm pretty sure the American Nismos have it.

Hi scrapper. Great looking Z, there's something about the Nismo in Black that just makes it look mean - I love it! Enjoy the smiles and the modding, once you start, there's so much you can do. It's a bug, but such a great one!

Thanks guys & girls for all your comments, Yes the Zed is Stunning! and to answer Dr. Chubbs question, yes there are 3 of those little microphone gadgets in the roof liner one above each seat and one in the enter behind the seats.

Well I have cleaned the car properly now and have attached some decent pics...well I think they are ok

Also, I tried to pay for subscription through paypal.... but it won't let me for some reason :o does anyone know why??

I actually don't mind if there is some fake noise, well untill I go for an upgrade on the exhaust that it, but I think I have spent enough for one month!!! :D :D :D

You were all correct on the attention too, I'm loving it... B)

Just re- read your first post. I've quoted what I think is the crucial bit. I really do not want to come across as patronising, but if you've never driven one before, for goodness sake be ultra careful with the accelerator pedal, especially if it's damp &/or you're not going in a straight line. Oversteer can bite you hard when you least expect it. Get a rush of blood to the head and you might feel the back of the car rushing past you in an unwelcomed way and suddenly you become the Drift King in Fast & Furious 13.

This often happens shortly after you think you've mastered how to drive the car :)

She's a beast - respect the power.

Thanks Chubbs, I will and to be honest I'm not a speed freak anyway, I'll take my time and be ultra careful. but thanks for the advice

I'm used to powerful cars, as I had a 4.5 V8 Porsche Cayenne for 6 years... I know that was four wheel drive, but I was never a loonatic in that either.

You're 'not a loonatic', but you've just bought a 370z Nismo.

Does not compute.  :help:   Does not compute.
