So originally planning for the 4 year service at £420 ended up with new Alcon discs, ds2500 pads, power steering pump and mot for just short of £4K.

Oh, that sounds expensive mate.  That's one hell of a lot of play.  How out of spec is that?

At least it seems to be in for some upgrades too.

Yes. I purchased a 2017 oem bellhousing from our friend's at amayama which saved me a couple hundred, but it still cost £1300.

Yes, my bellhousing is noisy. You would have thought Nissan would have sorted it after 8 years...

I'm really liking the Alcon discs & DS2500's Paul, let me know how you get on with them

Oh, I spent a couple of hours this afternoon cleaning my wheels with Espuma Revolution Wheel Cleaner and then gave the car a wash with Simoniz Car Shampoo and dried with a Microfibre or two.

Then just put her straight back in the garage! She will look nice and spangly when I decide to go for a drive, uhh I mean go and get some essentials.

Ouch!  To top it off, you can't even go for a drive (for now!)... :(

I think every 3rd car I've seen on the roads recently have been fun ones.  Lot's of Porches, and other 2 seaters.  A fair amount of classics too.

If you have a genuine need to drive anywhere you may as well do it in style :teeth:

Edit: fuel is cheaper at the moment too!
