I am thinking about changing my headunit in my 350z to a pioneer touch screen. I have been reading on the internet and apparently if you have a bose sound system why is this. How is it a more complicated process in comparison to a normal Nissan sound system thanks

I think it is down to the impedence of the speakers and the Bose amplifier.

Hey ya Jamescam, sorry about late reply, I can't answer the question on the Bose system but what I can say is that I have replaced my headunit. From original nissan to a Kenwood double din. Please message me if you need to ask a question.
Oh btw, as reviews and writeups on touchscreen stereos. My advice.....Don't bother, unless the screen is anti glare.
The angles are awkward with the 350z so sunlight isn't there best friend.
Hope I can help and I'm not too late

If you have not already done it, I used one of these to connect my Kenwood head unit into my Bose Equipped Car

Never had any issues since, the volume is great also

If you cant explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough.
