Just booked the car in to my local HPC to check over due to tramlining and also an oil & filter change now the car has done 1260miles.

HPC informed me that they could not check the 4 wheel alignment unless I paid £120 to get the 4 wheel alignment done as they said Nissan would not cover under warranty

Going to call Nissan UK as the car is only 2 weeks old.

Just had the alignment checked today. Looks like the the tolerances must have been our leaving the factory since the car is just over 2 weeks old and has done 1260miles, 500 of which were done on the motorway

Looks like it will be a trip back to Nissan, armed with the evidence.

Did you get it adjusted?

No going to get Nissan HPC to carry out the adjustments

Taking the car tomorrow to my local HPC for a check over and a post run in oil & filter change

They told me a few days ago that they couldn’t fit me in for 4 wheel alignment until next Wednesday

Will take the geometry printout with me for them to discuss with Nissan UK and push towards getting it done as goodwill or a warranty claim since the car is less than 3 weeks old

Took the car to my local Nissan HPC for and oil & filter replacement after the initial 1200miles run in plus 4 wheel alignment. Cost of 4 wheel alignment was £114 which Im hopefully going to claim back from Nissan.

The technical at the dealer informed me that he could not adjust the castor as there isnt an adjustment however thought that is may be adjustable using washers/spacers. Anyone know how to adjust the castor and what is the implications of this outside manufacturers specification even though the car is only 3 weeks old?

Ive asked Nissan UK the question and await their response

You can get adjustable Upper control arms that allow caster/camber adjustments, they are quite pricey.

Hopefully Nissan will come back with some form of fix

If you cant explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough.

FYI my caster when it was checked last year was 4 degrees 8 minutes and 3 degrees 56 minutes, so not a million miles from yours but not what it should be.

Nissan UK confirmed today that Caster Angle is outside tolerance.
Their technical department will advise my local HPC on how to adjust the Caster Angle.
Hopefully HPC will contact me in the next few days to arrange to undertake the necessary adjustments.

Very true.

It would be very interesting to find out what Nissan UK's technical department tells your HPC in relation to caster angle adjustment. If possible . . .
