I brought one of these a while ago and only had a play with it once, however I ended up with lights flashing everywhere so didn't use it again.

So what is the correct operation of these things, I have dash command on iPad.

Do I plug it in then fire up car, or fire up car then plug in?

Can someone just give me some starters for 10?

Hi Mate,

Plug it in without pressing the start button - you only need to go to ignition and you can start the car so you get real live feeds on RPM etc.

You can download the ECU and reset it I think from memory without starting the car fully.  However I have always tended to connect it first before starting the car or pushing the start button.  If you have any problems give me a shout.  I plugged mine in a few months ago so I can play at the same time if needed.

Once you have connected using Dashcmd - you can then download the Diagnostics.  IU have the settings if you need them for Dashcmd and the Wifi ODBII Port.
