Yep that is a really cool mk2 Escort, seen it compete a few times at Scarborough hillclimb sprints, it is exceptional. ;-)

I agree - but still not as good as my old RS1600 (from before they devalued the "RS.." badges)

Back in 1991/2 I bought a duck egg blue mk1 3.1 Capri, it was rough, insurance was cheap as it was classed as a classic.

Drove it until mot was up, took it for another and it needed welding, lots of welding, plus being a teenager I couldn't afford the petrol, so sold it to a local scrap yard..... turns out it was an original RS3.1 Capri.....   oh well.
