...or is there a reason for this car being so cheap?

MOT history looks fairly sound.

I don't think the first batch were much more expensive than a Zed were they? - Late 40's or something I remember it being at the time not a impossible journey from Zed to GTR - so for a near 10 year old car - and factoring in the start price (if I am right) - it is probably about right?

Advert has now been removed by Pistonheads. So it could be a little suspect.

...and until very recently you couldn't get an early one for under £32,000. 2009 cars descended from their original £56,000 (as John quite rightly said), but they bottomed out for years at the £33,000 mark. Suddenly, however, some are starting to be seen in the high £20,000's, so I believe they may be on the move again. The one in my opening post is easily the lowest I've ever seen and unless there's something wrong with it, it could be a very good price.

Although prices for the early (09) UK high mileage cars have dropped about £1000 per year since I sold mine at £33k they still are an excellent value for money.
Facelift 66 plate cars are nudging the £60k area now.
I recently had a trade px offer on mine at £54k which I thought was pretty good

Paul, do you know if the Litchfield upgraded cars  (of which there are many in the 2009 region) suffer from any particular problems? They claim to be making impressive (or even ridiculous in some cases) hp gains.

I think the Litchfield cars at around 600lbft with a few upgrades are a great buy
The cam chain seems to be an issue on tuned cars at higher mileage. The tunes can vary by 75lbft for the same stage so if mapped over that figure rods may escape for freedom at some point...cooling is also an issue if tracked.
I’ve had my eye on this car:
https://www.gtr.co.u...age-4-25-a.html

It’s been advertised now for a year and has probably had more spent on mods than it is advertised for!
A major bargain imo
The owner used to be on here I think and seems very fastidious
