Spotted the Jannarelly Design-1 at the Salon Prive on Sunday. Uses a 350Z engine mid mounted and about half the weight.

A bit to pricey though.

I'd prefer front-engined and a little bit more weight and substance, but otherwise if we were offered something like that I'd be quite delighted.

Like one of the posters on PH, one of my first thoughts when looking at the pictures was "Marcos . . . nice".

2007 350Z (my second Zed) - When you give up driving, you’re not going to look back wistfully on the car you owned with the nicest dashboard top or speaker grilles. You’re going to remember a car for its excitement and how it made you feel.
2011 Yaris 1.33 (my third Yaris) - With an extra 30cc and an extra gear it's become the S-Class of small cars.  Far less pretentious though.

Looks very well put together, wonder which gearbox they are using?

A less intransigent one? Not difficult methinks.

An equally characterful one? More difficult.

Just not a ZF automatic, please. Very good they may be, but I want a sports car not an iPhone.

That's an interesting mota! :)

I bet it's a lot of fun, but it's not cheap.  If Nissan were to make that it wouldn't follow the bloodline of the Z cars but can you imagine the excitement if they did!

Yes, you're obvously paying for the lack of weight.  Although, considering it weighs just over 800kg, I'm surprised it's not even more expensive.  The old VQ35 and its ancillaries must weigh nearly half of that.  Never mind the carbon-fibre, there must be some cardboard or papier mache in there too . . .
