D1GB drift event at Knockhill on 1st July 13.00-22.00
Would be a perfect excuse for everyone to meet up then travel through to watch the event.

Any takers!??

Don't all rush at once now

Let me know how many tickets you need George and we'll sort you Northern guys out a deal on ticket prices, subsidised by the Club

Would love to be there myself, but doubt I will have finished my pre-JAE clean up by then

Thanks to Giles for sorting this out

Nice to meet George ( g_torphins ) and Gillian, we had a bit of a drive in the afternoon - far too many numpties driving at 40mph, but managed some faster stuff as well ( sorry for missing the turn-off  ).

Knockhill, probably not the besy circuit for drifting, a bit too narrow and hilly - the guys looked like they were having fun though, and we certainly enjoyed it ( well, until the midges made an appearance about 9pm that is  ).

The Sumo car is soooo fantastic looking, and sounding - would love a shot, and yes Giles, they do still have the OC stickers on it

All in all a great day out ( fantastic weather helped, of course ) and hopefully we get a slightly larger turn out at the next Scottish meet

Yep! Cheers Giles!
Good to finally meet you Gus!!!

Amazing day.Great to see D1 in the flesh.

The section being used at Knockhill was pretty hardcore for drifting.
Serious blind downhill first bend with the transition turning for the second still being done on a slope.
Think all the drivers enjoyed the challenge, lots of smiles and plenty of offs!!
Just left with the strange lust for strobing sidelights now..........

I know exactly what you mean - strobes are

Glad you both had a good day out... and we managed to hook this up

Excellent to see the Sumo boys getting their cars up to Knockhill -

Did you get a chance to chat to any of the guys? Andy Barnes would have been rushing around as organiser and Rob Barnes would have been driving the Time Attack car. Did SVA Imports make it to the round too? They have the white and dayglo orange 350Z with yet more strobes.

I suppose the next thing is JAE

No, we never got speaking to anyone, either no-one around, or everyone looked too busy, and we didn't know who anyone was.

Yes the SVA Import one was there too

q

Andy Barnes could supply them for you...

He gets them from the states - The company is called Whelen and they supply all the emergency services stateside, not that I would know anything about such things

Not too sure about the cost, give Sumo Power a call and they'll give you a price though
