I've heard people talking about Santa Pod for about four years now.. never really understood where it was.. always thought it was near Newcastle to be honest

Drag racing isn't for me personally.. much prefer handling circuits and racing circuits :boxing:

I much prefer going round corners, rather than going fast.. lots of fun! :blackeye:

saying that though.. I may head up to Santa Pod to have a look around at some point.. now I know it isn't a Million miles away

... as a kid I was always more into Speedway and Barry Sheene than cars TBH

There's something a bit special about watching a top fuel dragster for the first time. 6500BHP.........you can feel your insides shake when they go.

I would love to be there on Sunday but I'll be at Silverstone instead. (Girlfriend doing her skidpan day) :blackeye:

it was a top day out.

i managed a 12.267 @ 127mph and then got progressivly worse :bounce: (i blame it on my trainers)
andy forrest ran a 9.307 @ 151mph (wow) in his subaru
the skyline of duke ran a breathtaking 8.808 @ 162mph................amazing.

what happened to the Zed that ran? is he off here? (had a personal plate that spelt his name)
i think he had problems as his times were well down.

top day out, the next event is the flame & thunder also a must not miss event. :)
