Hi guys, a mate of mine is organising a track day at Knockhill on the 16th April. He is a lancia stratos boy and is expecting some pals with strats. There are about 6 places available to first come (total 20 places). Interesting thing is that a Colin Hoad of CAT driving and heavily involved in developing chasis and handling for European 350z will be in attendance! This would obviously be a great opportunity for some great fun and to meet a great driver involved in zed development. Track is booked from 6pm to 8pm but we are meeting up at knockhill earlier (3pm ish). Anyone interested? cost £75 for 2 hours track time. Let me know and I will pass you on to my mate.

What a small world it is!! :bounce: Nice to 'meet you' Trevzed .. Colin & I will both look forward to meeting you in person on the 16th as you rightly say. We are flying up on the day and are coming as your friend Gary's guests to meet his friends and colleagues! Gary has had 3 days training with us and so can enlighten you further, as it looks like he already has. 20 of your club colleagues can also provide further input having spent 2 zed specific car club training days with us in Sept/Oct last year!
Until April ... we look forward to a hearty Scottish welcome!
Och aye the noo :teeth:

Trev,

Will be hooking up with some of the Aberdonians this Sunday @ Knockhill and will run this past them. I am sure George will be up for this if he is not working and he and his car are still in one piece :ninja:

Regarding the 26th April, as I am just 30 mins from Knockhill I might bring down both the Z's. The Ex Sumo Power 350Z sc Hercules and the sc Roadster. Obviously I can only drive one car at a time, so would you fore see any problems with that :?:

Alex.

Alex, I cant see that being a problem, but I will enquire for you. It would be nice to meet some Aberdeen folk as I lived there for 15 years and up there this weekend for Burns night! I might drop in by Knockhill on way back if Wife lets me :?: :ninja: The Strat guys should be fun and their cars (mostly replicas) are pretty light and lairy apparently.

Let you know when I do

Good evening Gents. Jo has brought me up to speed with this spooky :ninja: thread. Look forward to meeting you all in April. I would never have guessed that we'd be continuing our very pleasant association with the Z Club through a track day at Knockhill. Thanks to Gary for organising what will be an excellent late afternoon's entertainment. I can't pack a car into my hand luggage but I will be bringing my crash helmet and will be quite happy to sit with you to discuss driving techniques around a few laps of the circuit. Sharing a beer afterwards sounds like a great idea! As mentioned I have an intimate knowledge of the Z and some great photos of the press launch in Germany. I'll bring these along too for you to peruse.
Roll on April!

I've only just picked up on this thread.

Having spent some time in the car with Colin both on the first CAT training day and at the 'ring :o in November, I had to say if there is anyone who has read this thread and they are unsure about whether to book it or not,

DO IT!! :ninja:

Just wish I could make it. :scare:

I might come down for a look if I'm home. It'll be for a look and a chat. Wouldn't be tracking, not confident enough in the Zed for knockhill. Duffus Dip is scary!

Duffus is a dawdle mate, ask George as he was flying round the circuit today. :D

Tell you what, I would be more than happy to take you round for a few laps, just so that you can learn the lines, :D you would love it mate honest. You really would regret not taking the Z round as it is a fantastic circuit.

I am just back after a 4 hour track session there today and can't wait until the next one.
