  1. Hi Guys, I am sure this has been asked before but can't find the thread. Feel free to point me in the right direction.. however.. my car is due a service, only done 8k miles since new have it booked in with Nissan West on Friday but they haven't given me a price and they also don't inspire confidence . So, can anyone recommend a place in or near London for a service. I feel like a specialist would be better, but happy to be educated. Sent from my SM-G988B using Tapatalk

  2. As you may know, I have been playing with in car PCs and Android tablets for quite a while now. They've never quite worked out for me because the final integration with the car wasn't quite there. Head units seemed to have caught up with what I was trying to achieve recently so I decided to invest in a cheap-ish Android one and I fitted it last weekend. I'll go into detail about the ins and outs / pros and cons of the unit and how I fit it, but for now here are a few pics in the mean time: It has a 10.1" screen and I think these pictures make it look more 'stuck on' than it does when you're actually in the car. I've removed the original head unit but I need to keep the old face plate for a while because I still need the A/C controls. That will hopefully change at some point. It's early days and still in the 'proof of concept' stage. There are quite a few things I need to iron out, but so far, pretty good.

  3. Worrying isn’t it! I don’t know where you are exactly but we are in GU24 in Surrey and we go to Tom at TGM in Hampshire All nissan parts and we don’t need to tell him his job

  4. I take it you want a main dealer? Or are you happy to go to a good independent ? We use TGM sport in Fleet, just off the M3 he specialises in Honda and Nissan. We would trust him with anything. Always genuine and never been over charged, doesn’t do anything unnecessary Ask for Tom

  5. Apologies to all Forum users for the outage this afternoon. Our IT got service back as soon as possible, but again, sorry for the interruption in service. Regards, Jeff-W Chair

  6. I saw a youtube video where a 370 had the illuminated door sills and after a quick google I found that the parts can be ordered and fitted by Nissan UK. So I decided to get a pair for my car and had these fitted last week at Nissan Stourbridge. I admit it was a bit of a vanity purchase but overall I am really pleased with how they look, especially when it's dark.

  7. I would prefer an indy tbh. I am considering buying the parts from Nissan and getting someone I know to do it. I mean I could do it but won't get a stamp in the book. I got quoted £332 by Nissan London West. The guy asked for my reg, then asked how old the car was, then asked if I needed an interim service, then told me I need a Major service (because the car is 4 years old) I told him I was happy with interim as the car has only done 8k miles, then he proceeded to ask me if the car was petrol or diesel [emoji2959] Needless to say I am not taking it to them.
