  1. Having just got back this evening and driven approx. 2,400 miles, I have to say that it has been truly epic. One of the best (even to the point where Mrs N said so too!). The route included: Reims, France (and the historic start finish straight from the race track) - there may have been some fast pass by video's so rumour has it Dijon, France Grenoble, France Rapallo, Italy (taking in a few glaciers in view on the way and soem epic roads) Pisa, Italy Florence, Italy (on the way the next day, we stopped at the Mugello race track for a quick piccie) Bologna, Italy (on the way to the next destination we stopped at the Ducati Offiicial shop and the Lamborghini factory and museum) Innsbruck, Austria Bad Herrenalb, Black Forest Germany (including some unlimited Auto Bahn of course) The German Police stopping us with 2 cars! (more to tell on this later), on the way to Brugge, Belgium I tihnk we went through more tunnels than ever before as well but I'll give a bit more detail of all the above in the next couple of days along with some pics etc. Thankfully though, aside from having to change the brake fluid on one of the guys Audi RS5, it was an incident free trip and everyone got back safe and sound with some amazing memories.

  8. Last few worthy of note. After leaving Florence, we headed to Innsbruck in Austria, which meant some amazing roads up through the Alps again and lunch at over 7,200 feet:

  17. Iv been looking out for alternative rims for a while, nothing wrong with my original ones which were painted in a candy red by previous owner but just wanted a change to 20” and found these on eBay with very good matching tyres they were an absolute bargain only thing I had to do was fit 20mm spacers on the front so the rims would fit over the callipers, the rears were ok but I already had 20mm ones there , I think they look great but unfortunately make the car look higher so next thing to do will be to lower the a little

  23. This isn't a club supported event but Longy, who is well known to quite a few members, organises what is typically (barring Covid) an annual road trip to Europe. This years event starts this weekend as we head to Reims in France on Friday to start the tour on Saturday morning from the old historic race track. After that, the destination is unknown to us participants and only Longy knows the destinations for the following week (we get to find each days destination the evening before or over breakfast normally). There will likely be some silly challenges and some fairly spirited driving on the way but I'll report back after the event. In the meantime, this years chariot is all ready to whisk Mrs N and myself around whatever mountains, switchbacks, tunnels and autobahns we may visit!

  24. Maybe put some threadlock on the exposed part of the pin and then when you press it back in it might help hold it there.

  26. Just a small knocking from the rear right suspension. Possible drop link but ended up taking it to Litchfield today in the end as they are going to try and squeeze me in next week rather than waiting for the 21st. Hope it's good weather in the morning for those going!

  27. I've got a great opportunity for someone to attend the above event for free on Saturday 24th September! My GTR is going into Litchfield for some work so I'm attending as a passenger in Scott's GTR. As such, and having spoken to the organiser's, they are happy for someone else to use my 'show ticket'. This ticket is for the individual show car area (along with 4 others already going) and includes entry for driver and passenger. If you'd like to attend, please post up as it's first come, first serve as it were. I'll then add you to the group PM and message you for details.

  29. Not much point in either unless you are thinking of going for forced induction, all you are buying is engine bay bling, nothing wrong with a bit of bling though, plus you will probably loose power due to heat soak, better off with some decent drop in filters😉

  30. All booked and ready to go [emoji1303] Fantastic even last year and by the looks of things this year is going to be off the charts. We might need to get together @ sainsburys Stevenage early this year to keep together on site [emoji1303] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  31. +1 on all of the above. If the tyre pressures are within limits, the light should go off automatically. Suggests a fault with one or more of the sensors unfortunately...

  32. Yes, John, it was a top day. The weather was cloudy with a hint of sun in the afternoon, but a pleasant 22 degrees. The event attracted about 120 cars (fewer than booked - I think the early arrival slots deterred some). We saw a really wide variety of cars from Lambos, Ford Escort rally cars, Cosworths, lots of Astons, Alvis and a smattering of Ferraris. We were able to access the static display before the event opened to the RAF Families, so I was able to give John, Pete and their children a guided external and internal tour of the C-17. We were able to see 2 flypasts of the BBMF Spitfire, and one of the Lancaster at a sporty height directly above our heads. I will liaise with next year’s Ctte to try to iron out some of the bits which they didn’t quite get right this time - eg nowhere to get a coffee or breakfast until after 10am. Thanks very much to John and Pete (and children) for being such good company all day!

  37. If it makes you feel any better, mine is doing exactly the same. I use a leather balm every now and again but probably not often enough if I'm honest. If you find a good solution to make it look any better, do let us know (as will I).

  43. This is a sad sight. I would be a tad upset if I ordered a new car and dealer abused it like that (even if they didn't smash it up) https://www.carscoops.com/2022/08/drifting-nissan-detailer-causes-first-2023-z-wreck-definitely-wont-polish-out/

  44. Hi, A little late now as you have already purchased wiper blades but have a look at DENSO Hybrid wiper blades. They are very sleek and don't have the big block on the top that most other blades have.

  45. As per Les's thread in the Members area, I restored the Z's vision today by removing it's cataracts with some Autosol. The offside was really bad and took 20 mins. The nearside was pretty superficial and only took 5 mins. I applied some 303 after to protect the lights from UV again. I'm very happy with the results

  46. Both the 370Z and the Juke were extremely dirty and we've a hosepipe ban starting next week. I felt bad using the jet wash so close to the ban but justified it to myself by washing them in the back garden so at least the water went on the parched lawn and not into the drain. Before: After:

  47. I was very lucky last weekend. Left via Folkestone on Friday and there had been a nasty crash on the M20 a couple of junctions before the Eurotunnel. I think it must have happened only 10-20 minutes before we went through as they very shortly afterwards closed the motorway. Whilst queueing for the tunnel the Air Ambulance landed on the motorway only 50 yards from us. We were delayed by 2.5 hour as a train had broken down in the morning and they had to turn the electric off to recover it but those behind who got stuck when the motorway closed were part of the ones delayed by 14 hours then then went up to 21 hours over the weekend. Not to bad on the way back, just a half hour delay. Was all worth it to see this amazing place though

  48. Just bought mine for both Saturday and Sunday. As it's only 4.2 miles from my house, it seemed rude not to!
