  1. Happy Birthday BulletMagnet!

  2. Only just caught this, thanks guys. Currently in Germany with the missus
  3. Happy Birthday BulletMagnet!

  4. Episode 14 of Marvel Agents of SHIELD, silver roadster when Lorelei shows up at gas station
  5. TBH, the gearbox oil looked fine, was still translucent, was last done at 49K, now on 108K, last time Motul fluid was used, but I think it was overkill to use racegrade fluid this time round. Diff oil looked a bit darker, with a greenish tinge. the magnetic plug had picked up some metal, but nothing unusual, just very fine almost pastelike metal, no rough shavings After driving it for a couple of days, it seems to be a little bit smoother when changing gears
  6. Changed Gearbox and Diff oils, used genuine Nissan fluids purchased from Clark Motorsports. plus a tube of Molyslip for good measure If anybody needs to know, 2.9L for gearbox, 1.4L for diff
  7. I got these recently http://www.machinemart.co.uk/shop/product/details/laser-5669-low-rise-car-ramps-one-pair perfect for lowered cars
  8. I am shocked that over SEVEN pages nobody has offered to bring Krispy Kreme donuts. Sarah, get these members in line willya?
  9. Put a new battery in the Zed, Halfords Advanced HCB005, 510 cold start amp, 63 amp hours. Starts up a lot better now
  10. Thank you everybody for the well wishes Anybody going to Milan, don't be sucked in by the Flagship Designer stores. Found two shops away from the centre that stock designer brands and catwalk gear at cut prices, D-Magazine Outlet and Il Salvagente. While not the cheapest they are still cheaper than the retails stores and the ladies will love it. For example a Max Mara handbag, reduced from 949 to "only" 449 Managed to get myself some jeans for 75, reduced from 189 Only thing I hated about Italy were the toll charges, paid a total of 70 while there. Much preferred the Swiss system of toll charging, pay 40 and get a sticker that is valid for a year
  11. Stopped on the way to take this pic http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii126/BulletMagnet88/Euro%20Roadtrip%20Oct%202013/IMG_4949_zpsda727d53.jpg Headed further down the road... http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii126/BulletMagnet88/Euro%20Roadtrip%20Oct%202013/131_zpscb003fff.jpg And arrived in Milan http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii126/BulletMagnet88/Euro%20Roadtrip%20Oct%202013/152_zpsbbdb87c4.jpg This place is a shopping area just off the Duomo Square where the local joke is that only tourists would buy stuff here. http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii126/BulletMagnet88/Euro%20Roadtrip%20Oct%202013/IMG_5000_zpsed733290.jpg http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii126/BulletMagnet88/Euro%20Roadtrip%20Oct%202013/IMG_4997_zps1571183f.jpg http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii126/BulletMagnet88/Euro%20Roadtrip%20Oct%202013/IMG_4996_zps1db27374.jpg http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii126/BulletMagnet88/Euro%20Roadtrip%20Oct%202013/IMG_4994_zps02d6dadc.jpg Spent two nights and then back on our way to Germany The porter was kind enough to get the Zed out of the hotels garage. http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii126/BulletMagnet88/Euro%20Roadtrip%20Oct%202013/IMG_5065_zps5f4a73a8.jpg Quick food stop before the Gotthard Tunnel (the 17km long one) http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii126/BulletMagnet88/Euro%20Roadtrip%20Oct%202013/162_zpsf0ab5a83.jpg ...and then queuing for said tunnel (don't mind queuing if the view is this magnificent http://www.350z-uk.com/public/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif ) http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii126/BulletMagnet88/Euro%20Roadtrip%20Oct%202013/172_zpsc3ffd0fd.jpg Got rather toasty in the tunnel... http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii126/BulletMagnet88/Euro%20Roadtrip%20Oct%202013/173_zps73567a7b.jpg Chilled for a couple days in Germany and then came back to the UK. Zed never let me down and has done me proud, only had a CEL after going through the looooooooong tunnel the first time, which after a reset did not reappear. My Zed has definitely earned the right to be a GT http://www.350z-uk.com/public/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif
  12. Took the Zed to Germany. Had some local food http://www.350z-uk.com/public/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii126/BulletMagnet88/Euro%20Roadtrip%20Oct%202013/042_zpsa852e011.jpg Then got married to my lovely wife http://www.350z-uk.com/public/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii126/BulletMagnet88/Euro%20Roadtrip%20Oct%202013/_D3S1475_zps1289b33a.jpg http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii126/BulletMagnet88/Euro%20Roadtrip%20Oct%202013/_D3S1637_zpsef024b6e.jpg http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii126/BulletMagnet88/Euro%20Roadtrip%20Oct%202013/_D3S1750_zps07dea2e7.jpg And then had a little too much drink at the reception http://www.350z-uk.com/public/style_emoticons/default/lol.gif (that's my Best Man, did a brilliant job, also a former 350Z owner) http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii126/BulletMagnet88/Euro%20Roadtrip%20Oct%202013/IMG_4612_zps6776a7fa.jpg And after a couple days recovery we set off to the south of France in the Zed http://www.350z-uk.com/public/style_emoticons/default/yahoo.gif Decided on a night drive to avoid traffic, here's a quick stop near the German/Swiss border http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii126/BulletMagnet88/Euro%20Roadtrip%20Oct%202013/081_zps6f0cdf99.jpg At a later stop I noticed this sign.. http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii126/BulletMagnet88/Euro%20Roadtrip%20Oct%202013/090_zps641f140a.jpg http://www.350z-uk.com/public/style_emoticons/default/scared.gif So I got 17km of this http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii126/BulletMagnet88/Euro%20Roadtrip%20Oct%202013/085_zps89843ec7.jpg Drove through Switzerland, through Italy to then arrive in Nice http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii126/BulletMagnet88/Euro%20Roadtrip%20Oct%202013/093_zpsf2b975a0.jpg Found a suitable underground car park after first trying one that had too steep a ramp and cracked one of my sideskirts http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii126/BulletMagnet88/Euro%20Roadtrip%20Oct%202013/127_zpsc34f36ed.jpg No worries tho, I have since done a fibreglass repair and all is well again Enjoyed the sights and sounds of Nice for two nights.... http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii126/BulletMagnet88/Euro%20Roadtrip%20Oct%202013/128_zpsb561e21b.jpg http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii126/BulletMagnet88/Euro%20Roadtrip%20Oct%202013/107_zpsec20c4b6.jpg http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii126/BulletMagnet88/Euro%20Roadtrip%20Oct%202013/IMG_4904_zps701ef608.jpg http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii126/BulletMagnet88/Euro%20Roadtrip%20Oct%202013/IMG_4861_zps0d7695a0.jpg http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii126/BulletMagnet88/Euro%20Roadtrip%20Oct%202013/IMG_4931_zps7a5c5508.jpg ...and then left for Italy. Didn't tell the missus where we were going and that is was a suprise.
  13. Yes, it was, there are even two metal tabs to run the cable ties through. Will probably swap them out for webbing strops at some point
  14. Took door card off to do a window reset to find this http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii126/BulletMagnet88/DDC1B3AB-CAA6-445A-8E5B-090CFEB62ED0-202-000016AEA4CB028D_zps8d92c08d.jpg Like really?!? Mould??? But I did find a sure and effective way if getting rid of it. You do this http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii126/BulletMagnet88/A38827A8-42D0-4BA1-A8A7-F46571FFDC29-202-000016AECF01A50C_zps71d7fa06.jpg  In disgust of the mouldy speaker I went to local car audio shop, got some coaxials and components and spent the rest of the day taking almost all of the interior plastics out and putting the replacements in. Fast forward a month and... Got myself one of these http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii126/BulletMagnet88/56BE329F-DB60-4023-BE0A-E3D09C0EC169-26301-0000070957F1ADA3_zpsfe1f54e3.jpg Along with the amp I had bought these Audison 4-Gauge powercable kit http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii126/BulletMagnet88/61DCFB0A-D906-49A0-97EC-CEC7DFA20972-27173-000007E7003C854D_zpsd58b7b50.jpg Audison RCA leads http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii126/BulletMagnet88/B781534A-E962-4CFE-B8B6-B86FE990C56B-27173-000007E7099D4B23_zpsb3b887eb.jpg Such a shame that such good looking cables are to be hidden away Dusted off my old Bazooka Tube and started to wonder where to fit it. Then I realised it was the same width as the Bose Sub mounting plate, so in it went http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii126/BulletMagnet88/24F4DA3E-34DC-4742-890B-5FB07CB53EDB-27173-000007E7149637B4_zps194a9158.jpg All that was left was to tidy up this mess http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii126/BulletMagnet88/31FA9887-3371-441A-933C-759449ECA6AA-32027-000009EF2F05DAD5_zps4a7f29d5.jpg http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii126/BulletMagnet88/7FF2A1B0-C2DE-4897-B4C6-FBF339BD7A24-32027-000009EFAEF808F9_zps4c7215f4.jpg http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii126/BulletMagnet88/7929BED2-9D70-4403-82DE-E578BCCFDC78-27173-000007E72066A0BB_zps658ab5fe.jpg And all done http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii126/BulletMagnet88/0189EB92-6C4A-40B7-A9F2-1EB5451B6E46-27173-000007E743E222D1_zps6eb52b8d.jpg http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii126/BulletMagnet88/9FBA4C88-7295-49C8-A01D-16EEC02A1441-27601-0000084EF60D0E50_zps269c57ea.jpg http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii126/BulletMagnet88/E2236FE8-2806-4357-B5F7-BC0E2F925D46-27601-0000084ED62C091B_zps839faa4a.jpg And really really happy to report my old Bazooka Tube still kicks like back in the day, it reminded me how bad the Bose sub actually is. I also like the little touches on the Alpine Amp, like connecting speaker wires to plug in connectors, just keeps everything nice and neat. Threw a couple of tracks at it and it did put a smile on my face
