  1. The Members only workshop day happened on Saturday 14th September 2019 - in Cambridge. Please post any pictures, reports and projects on this page.
  2. This is where forum users are free to post up about events which they think the Club might like to attend in 2019. So - post away! All suggestions welcome. The thread for Silverstone 2019 is already live. As events are accepted by the Club they will appear in the 2019 Events Diary, which I will place in this topic over the next few weeks. Jeff-W Events Bloke (and OCDT when the weather is better).
  3. Please post your pictures and comments here (photographs particularly appreciated). Jeff-W.
  4. By kind permission of our hosts, Sarah & Tony, a second Mod/Detailing day of 2019 will be held in Chobham, Surrey on Saturday, 24 August (summer Bank Holiday weekend). What is a Mod Day? If anyone fancies just a free breakfast and a natter, or some help fixing something, then a Mod Day is the perfect setting! If it's your first mod day, then don't be shy; we are a friendly bunch and are always happy to see anyone & everyone. What a Mod Day does is let us put faces to forum names, and also ask all the questions we never got to ask on the forum!! You can just lean on the garage door and watch others busy at work whilst drinking tea and eating if you don't want to do anything else. There is always lots of Zed expertise at hand. The Owners' Club Detailing Team, OCDT, will be there, armed with all kinds of polishers, waxes, sealants, cutting compounds and screen protection kit (rain repellent). Minor scratches, holograms and swirls in paintwork sorted for free! Doors open (metaphorically speaking) at 10am and we go on until the last person leaves, so you can pop in at any time for as long as you like. Late arrivals run the risk of missing out on the slap-up brekky. Please post up if you can make it, and someone will add your name to the list. 1. Sarah and Tony 2. Jeff-W & Mrs Fred 3. Cazza & Lesmo 4. APOFW 5. JFK + Averil 6. Neutreus 7. ChasGFL (confirmed) 8. Paul_S (cancelled) 9. Cloudy 10. Gasitup 11. Fiona 12. Blobbish 13. Painless 14. John_K 15. Paul_K (am only) Work to be carried out detailed at post 20.
  5. Please post pictures and reports during the build up and preparations, and during the event itself lets get a great record of our 50th Zed celebrations.
  6. It is planned that the Club will attend the Silverstone Classic in 2019. Full details will follow, but given 2019 is a very important year being the 50th Anniversary of the Zed. We can expect it to be an amazing weekend. We will firm up details as they become available. At the moment this tweet from the Silverstone Classic suggests the dates to be Friday 26th, Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th of July 2019. - These are provisional at present. It can be guaranteed this will be a massive weekend for all Zed owners. So we will open up an interest thread. 8. Please note: This year, updated health and safety requirements mean that all cars need to be on site by 11am and will not be permitted to leave the site until the show closes at 4pm. Kimbolton Country Fayre - Sunday 14th July 2018 (Any Make / Model can attend). Kimbolton Country Fayre is now in it’s 28th year, a charity event for the whole family, organised by volunteers from The Rotary Club of Kimbolton Castle and The Sporting Bears Motor Club. It is held in the beautiful grounds of Kimbolton Castle in Cambridgeshire, the home of Kimbolton School. In 2018 we were delighted to host the following to meet wide tastes. Main Ring events: Savage Skills: Free Stay Mountain Bike Stunt Team, Sealed Knot, Beagles and Heavy Horses. Stage: Haka, Gavin James Burke – Classical and Musical Theatre Vocalist, Galaxy Big Band and Lindyhop Dancers, Morris Dancers Children: Millers Ark Mobile Farm, Mobile Cave and Bungee Trampolining. Other attractions: Around 1000 Classic and Sports Cars, a flypast by the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, more than 70 stalls and stands, Dream rides, Model Car racing as well as the usual tea tent, real ale bar plus many more attractions and activities for the whole family. In total just under £20 000 was raised for a range of Rotary supported charities. Over the years we have supported many charities, often local; including Burns Camp, Samuel Pepys School, HemiHelp, East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices, Ellesmere Opportunity Group, Holly Ward (Hinchinbrooke Hospital), Mission Motor Sports and many other Rotary supported charities and good causes. The Fayre has raised £400,000 over the last 27 years. Staffed by over 60 volunteers on the day and backed by a year of planning. http://kimboltoncountryfayre.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/IMG_4708-300x200.jpg The 2019 fayre will be held on Sunday the 14th of July, gates open for general admission at 11.00am. Classic cars for display arrive from 9.00am. (We can usually get in from 7am) The organisers are really flexible and cars are allowed to leave early, and BBQ's etc are allowed as well as dogs. We welcome any model not just Nissan sportscars - so anything you call your pride and joy! We have extended and invite to this event to our friends in the ZClub. I need to let the organisers know number by the end of April - so please can I ask for show of hands before then. I will add some flexibility of numbers for last minute requests. As with last year I need to obtain wrist bands which I will post out on the day. Entrance is still £10 per car as it was last year. Last year was a very hot day - So who's attending this year?
  9. Please post your pics, stories, and feedback here (this topic will auto-unlock at 06:00 Saturday)
